As much as I’d like to be the positive “ra ra” guy, this team hasn’t shown anything to be positive or enthusiastic about. Will always pull for the mountaineers, just don’t believe (even with all the talent the roster has) that this season will be a winning or even .500 team. Hope they make me eat crow but just haven’t seen any evidence of desired success, including program (team and coaches) & fans desired successful outcome. P.s. I just bought $250 worth of app gear, for those that may try to to claim I’m a bandwagoner

Teller, buying that amount of App gear is a good bit of a sign of positivity. Hopefully the program will receive a significant portion of the net.

The Guy that replaced Brakefield went 13-18-2 in three years and the next guy went 6-5 in his only year.

Whining about the whining is a choice

Brakefield was 47-48-4 at App. In his 8 years, he had one (5-5-1), a 3-7-1 season, a 2-9 season, and a 3-8 season...those were his worst years. You guys would have had him fired after the 3-7-1 season.
IMOp, he was still one of the best coaches App has ever had. He ran the Wishbone Y to perfection in the good years. We barely had the minimum number of scholarships needed to stay in the SoCon.

I was around during those years and don’t want history to repeat itself.

Apples and Oranges for the Brakefield/Clark comparison. Brakefield took a NAIA team and guided them into Division I football. Clark took over a DI team that was winning Conference Championships and now, under him, they are not. Every year under him we appear to be regressing. As I said before, I believe Coach Clark has an opportunity to turn this team around and to earn the opportunity to be our Coach for 2024 and beyond, but he needs to figure out a way to win at least four of the next six games. Results matter.

And boy would many wish to have that 6-5 guy around even if he was younger, would work for chump change and remain loyal? Look how long it has taken him to turn around on the second tour at the Hole.

I think there could be a nastier, a more spoiled, a more I measure my success in life by my alma mater's weekly and seasonal success on the gridiron. So we have that going for us.

I don't know why so many people fail to see this. When you inherit a top 25 program you can't compare it to someone moving from NAIA to D1 or FCS to FBS

App State field hockey is 10-4 and tied for first place in the conference.

App St. Women's Soccer os 6-5-3...that includes a home record of 5-0-2. They own it st home!!

Men's soccer is currently unbeaten....
