Coastal discussion

Well. Going from a team that wasn’t supposed to be able to pass to a team that seems to only pass. Consider me worried on the DB area.

McCall just threw 1 TD and 4 INTs against Gs.

Also Davis? Only the one catch early so assume he may have gotten hurt?

After watching the Coastal/Georgia State game, I said Tim Beck should be arrested for having McCall run his offense. The originality and beauty of the Chadwell system is gone and you have NC State lite. They lost a lot of their defense, so it's looking rough in Conway.

I'm sure some will feel he'll torch App after seeing what ULM did, but the game is in Boone and I like our chances.

I just like the GS (not GSU) slight already. Oh you were referring to last week.

Both App and Coastal are trending down. I think we will by a couple scores though. Something seems really off with Coastal and this team owes them some payback.

Going to need DBs to grow this week to cover Pinckney.

Their best RB has 245 yds for the year. Only one over 100yds.

McCall has been sacked 10 times. We will need to contain him and get pressure.

Since we like close games. They’re FG kicking my coke into play. Their kicker is 1-4 form 30-39. 0-2 over 50.

Every stat and matchup says we should win by two TDs.

Certain advantage across both lines.

Our run game is much stronger.

Special teams much better.

Night game at home.

10 days.

Win by 1...win by 100....goal is to be 2-0 in conference .This is not a 2 TD win for App in my humble opinion. Beach Chickens are decently strong at what we are weak.... passing D. In addition, our young DL and LBs have a tendency to get out of their expected rush lanes ...could be due to being young and trying to play fast or other teams OL making that happen...but need.to maintain containment so 10 has a more difficult time getting yards if we get pressure.
WYO Dline and LBs did a good job of getting hands up if they could not get to QB. I would like to see App do that more.
Will be having chicken during the tailgate. That is the way 😁

Coastal looks really bad this year. Unfortunately, I just don’t have any confidence in App. App SHOULD win… should…

I think it’s very beneficial that App has a week and a half to get ready for this game.

Glad our players and coaches have confidence unlike yourself. I am sure they do. Yes we should win and I feel confident we will and look good doing it. At home. On national TV.

We tend to come out of the gate really flat after an extended break. I hope that's not the case vs Coastal. They are not looking at all like the Chickens of last few McCall Era teams but they will come out swinging against us just like everyone else

Have we historically played well after a bye week or extra days? If so, I don’t remember it.

Since 2018 after a bye App State is 9-1. That ranks tied 3rd in all of FBS.

This is a good extended break for the boys.

Maybe so. I might be thinking of us coming out flat after time off, but clearly we’ve come up with wins.

So going 9-1 after a bye isn't good enough? Flat???

I think we're thinking of going down 14-0 to Georgia State last year and burning 2 timeouts in the first quarter due to personnel mismanagement in terms of "coming out flat after an extended break."
