ULM

Unread post by CharlotteApp05 » Sun Sep 24, 2023 10:04 am

Lots of opinions and finger pointing, but we lost and it was last week.

You want to prove you are right? This week. Win by 50, you were right. Lose? You were right.

Clark and staff, execution, play calling, who is qb1. This week will prove who is right.

If we win, Clark deserves all the credit for getting us to respond and refocus on our conference. But if we lose, it’s probably a long walk off the plank towards the end of a No bowl unsuccessful year.

Mental strength will be crucial this week, can’t let last night beat us next weekend.

That goes for coaches and players. Being overtly aggressive as a response to the conservatism is a concern of mine.

Let’s go App! QB1 could return. Would be a huge lift for our team. I’ll take 2-2 from a backup any year!

I don't care if it's Burger, Aguilar, or Noel throwing the ball. Just be smart.

This game seems eerily similar to Texas state game last year. Don’t have a good feeling at all. Im going to hear that blocked kick thuddd for the rest of my life.

If we don't beat ULM then we are definitely in for a long year. ULM is among the bottom 1/3 of our league so we have to win this game. I do expect to win by 10-20. Odds Shark is picking us to win 38-20 in their early prediction.

I’m guessing you might be referencing those throws out the the flats. In particular the turn over on the backwards pass. I hope we don’t give up on that play. I have been wanting us to get our athletes in space with the ball and that’s exactly what that play can do. In short, love the idea, hate the execution.

Yes, it's a brilliant play design. And if Davis catches it, he's in the end zone easily.

I don't think it'll be removed from the playbook or anything. But, it very clearly needs more preparation.

Costal, Ga So., Marshall, and So. Miss at home: 3 wins? Ga St., JMU, Monroe, and ODU on the road: 2 wins? Is 7-5 the floor?

That doesn't come close to answering my question. Is 7-5 the floor?

We have the team to win the rest of our games, whether we do is why we play. I like our team compared to last year. Every game will be tough, just like last night. if you want a floor this season from me...we lose 3-4 games total. Coastal seems to be a joke, Marshall is at home - we owe them and JMU is away - we owe them, SMU is a joke, GStateU is a pretender, Gumroot U is at home we owe them.

I'd like to see us get some help with JMU and Marshall. So Al goes to JMU this weekend keep an eye on that So Al coming off a loss

A win should not exhonerate Shawn Clark. He has driven our program into the ground. A win vs ULM should be expected.

So fire a guy after year 4 that has a 9-3, 10-4, 6-6, 7-5* career HC record - with 3 Bowl appearances. 🙄

So go write the check buy him out and then write the new check for 500k more than Clark is currently making to get who makes you feel warm and fuzzy. About a 4/5 million decision based on all goings and comings of a staff over haul.

Where did that come from? I was just asking about reasonable expectations.

I get it -- I've had the same discussions with a friend that's in the Circle of Excellence.

The answer I was given was 'depends on how we lose". Are they blow outs or close losses? If the 5 losses are getting dusted a change is inevitable.

You all might as well accept that Clark isn't going anywhere right now. '23 is a much better version than '22 and it will play out that way. Some of you guys are acting like you want a part in the Dr Pepper commercial.

I grew up in Fansville. What can I say...I know I've lost it!
