Notre Dame at Notre Dame and At Charlotte (Home for us) would be a great get.

I like our chances. ND will be trotting out a new QB ...our QB will have more experience..and our young D will be older.

I have ZERO interest in playing Western. I've been to many jug games in both Boone and Cullo-where but frankly, those days are long gone. I honestly don't even have much of an interest to play them in Boone as our annual FCS game. Neutral site? No thanks. If we're playing a neutral site game it better be against a P5 or at least a regional G5 with a following...otherwise, again, no thanks. If I had to choose between Western in Charlotte as a one-off or a home and home deal with another peer G5 - then I'll excitedly head to El Paso or Bowling Green or Athens, Ohio and also look forward to their trip to Boone.

I did a dive last night into fbschedules.com it's not uncommon for teams not to have a full OOC schedule for 2025. I would say around 1/3 didn't. We still have some wiggle room.

I'm going to be honest, I don't think we are sitting on some scheduling news.

The AD/Football team could use some distractions right now. I think if they had a nice series signed they would have released it to give us something else to talk about.

Nothing is signed but I bet we are working on something that will be announced when the ink is dry.

Just for clarity, the game I know about.....I know from a different source than through APP and the contract is signed and my understanding is it is going to be announced very shortly. It will be week 1.

The WCU comment was completely separate, just saying that it was interesting Clark mentioned them in the PC.

I’ve been hoping for a series with a good G5. Maybe I can get you to “thank” this post if it’s any of the following? Memphis, USF, Tulane, Boise, UTSA, Navy, UAB. There’s a couple MWC teams other than Boise I’d like to play, mainly in California, and I’m kinda skeptical Gillin would sign up for that travel. Colorado State would be cool too.

If CLTApp is referencing Week 1, 2025 (08/31) then none of those teams are available. SMU (if they are still referred to as G5), Charlotte, and Tulsa are available. All of the big names out of the MWC are full. I intentionally chose not to look at MAC teams considering we already have Toledo for 2025.

My best guess would be Charlotte in BofA. The Duke's Mayo Classic doesn't have a game scheduled yet for 2025.

Better than nothing. Maybe Charlotte will end up being good by 2025? We already had games with Charlotte so it doesn’t move the needle much, but it’s always nice to beat little brother.

I really dislike this schedule decision. We already play Charlotte every season from 26–30. I was hoping we would get another P5 or a top-tier G5.

I'm a fan. Easy trip. App fans will show up. "Bowl game" atmospheres are more fun than home or away games for me.

I would think we would have more fans there. It takes place the Thursday after week 0.

I agree. Its fun because we can pack the stadium and thats always good, but since we already have a long term series on the books, I'd be much happier with a low-mid P5 or a top G5 for strength of schedule purposes.

Everything post 2024 needs to be about getting the G5 CFP spot, UNCC is not going to do anything for our SoS.

One of the benefits of this game will be that it is played on Thursday night and then the team gets 10 days to prepare.
