Alumni Tailgate in Wyoming?
Are the alumni tailgates at away games worth it? Looks like $25/adult and $15/for kids. They advertise pizza and drinks but I can get pizza and drinks for $65 elsewhere.
Have you been to one of these? What was your experience? Was is a "tailgate" scene with a little rowdiness, or more subdued with people dressed up a bit? Were you still able to go check out the campus? Would a 13 year old be bored with all of us old people just talking? My last away games were the two in Idaho and I don't remember seeing an App alumni tailgate.
Do the fans at the team hotel meet to send off the busses?
Thanks fam. See y'all in Laramie in a few weeks. I'll bring the hacky sack.

Re: Alumni Tailgate in Wyoming?
Every alumni tailgate is different. I have not been to one that was worth the money I paid, but they money I paid goes to a good cause (Alumni Association) so it's ultimately worth it.
Generally speaking -- if you're wanting a traditional tailgate, don't go to the alumni tailgate. If you're wanting a quick, easy, no planning space to congregate, eat, drink, and meet other Mountaineers, go to the alumni tailgate.

AppState88 and I did the Alumni tailgate for the Miami game in 2021. We met at the team hotel and traveled by motor coach (bus) to TopGolf. We had 2 hours of golf, a buffet meal, and 2-3 adult beverages. We then boarded the bus that dropped us at the stadium and took the same bus back to the team hotel after the game. The price per person was $85 if I recall correctly. Well worth the price for the convenience, meal, and transportation. Of course being in the presence of Mountaineer faithful was a bonus! Also did one many years ago at a WCU game. I can't remember the cost, but remember it being reasonable for the quality and the convenience. As News states, they are all different but my experience has been positive.

Is it too late to sign up for the Wyoming tailgate? If not, does someone have a link? I've been searching but can't remember where I saw it.

The alumni tailgate at the super dome the first year I think middle Tennessee was really good.

We went to Texas A&M alumni tailgate, good time, but certainly not a party scene. It was very crowded, but made it super easy to grab some food, drinks, and hang around fellow Mountaineers!

Mine says Section 8. Is that accurate, or wrong?
