Speaking of losing perks for the NEZ patrons. Does anyone know the reason for not adding the cover for the seats?

Same reason the extra columns had to be added. The engineering of the building was way off and could not support the weight.

Some fine engineers right there. When they were adding the pre formed concrete base, I said that ain't going to work.

The columns are still funny to me. Nothing in any of the renderings, just a chunk of concrete hanging off the side of the building with no supports. Everyone on here with any engineering know-how says "that needs columns." Then one day, temp columns. Crickets from the school. Then someone involved with the project (allegedly) creates an account here and says the seats had already sagged 1 inch, necessitating the columns. Then from some unofficial channels, there was something about how the columns will tie in both sides together for future work and that it's fine because the Miller Hill regrading came in under budget (with those dumb hollow iron fences at the bottom of the hill that turned into a safety issue after the Hail Mary that are currently being replaced). Then App asks the state for $5 million extra to finish the facility (granted, everything is over budget nowadays).

I have a theory, and it is just a theory because I am not an engineer but when they set the concrete stands they began pulling away from the wall. Hence the need for the brick supports.

On the topic of the post, I'll be in Norffuck (when in Rome) for the ODU game. Anyone else expecting to travel out there? I expect it will probably be on of ODU's more premium games thanks to App fans traveling and I'd rather get tickets around whatever block most App people will be in.

Single game tickets are on sale, I believe. Get them from the athletic department directly and you'll be guaranteed to be around App fans.

3 of us heading to Wyoming, 5 to JMU and 5 to ODU. Should be fun!!!
