App State Football Schedule 2025 and beyond.

The schedule for 2025 and beyond is quite thin. Anyone hearing any rumors of what the plans are? We have no away games scheduled for 2025. It seems to be getting late in the scheduling process to have 2 blank spaces. We also still need a home game for 26 and two home games for 27.

Just curious if anyone is in the know of possible opponents or if any rumors are swirling.

I'm surprised App didn't pick up any of Liberty's or BYU's non-conference games they had to shed when joining a league.

A few years ago there was a brief rumor of Notre Dame in 2025. There's room that year for a big away game.

We'll probably see a fair share of FCS home games for the rest of the 2020s. Hopefully local opponents.

Unfortunately for us, winning and/or almost winning ALL of our last 2017-2022 P5 games makes it difficult to get stuff scheduled because they don't want a difficult out in a non-conference game since if they lost to us it would eliminate their chances of making the CFP in the current format.

I highly doubt that South Carolina will ever play in KBS. They could play all of the games scheduled in Columbia then back out before the game in Boone.

I highly doubt that South Carolina will ever play in KBS. They could play all of the games scheduled in Columbia then back out before the game in Boone.

Check fbsschedules.com we have OOC games scheduled through 2034. Most years have 2 OOC games scheduled, a few have one, 2032 has none as of yet.

in the last years, we've defeated two SEC teams and one ACC team. We've also scared the poop out of others. Despite not having a winning season last year, I imagine there is some reluctance among other schools to schedule Appalachian State.

Not really, but it was right after the A&M game they really started trying to get out of it. The argument of P5 teams not wanting to play us does hold water...

It looks like we could get a home and home with Vanderbilt, Memphis, UCF, USF, Duke, Temple, Ohio, Cincinnati. They don't have to be p5 to be interesting games. Mtsu would be nice just to have a reason to go to Nashville.

Personally feel like we need P5s still to help out financially if they do help out financially. We hear about the big payouts...but after expenses to get there, do they? If they do, then, we need to schedule them
From a personal perspective, I want to play them to see how we do.
The games above may be decent games, but do not get me excited....other than Dook as I would like to pummel them...the new Dook coach has then looking better. I will give them some recognition

If they won't give us home and home we aren't interested beyond our current commitments .As of my last conversation with our AD on the subject last year anyway.Things change but I haven't heard anything different.

I hope we stick with this because I like having 6 home games. My perfect schedule would be 6 at home and one neutral in North Carolina/South Carolina/Tennesee/Georgia with a p5. We shouldn't give up a home game for the neutral.site.
