Looking for a good year (9-3) with Berger at QB.
I think that we are fine with either one.
Excited for both. I thought for sure Burger would be the guy. The fall competition will be fun to watch, hopefully one plants himself as the clear #1 by then.

On a related note, how is the other QB Mason McHugh progressing?

GO APPS!!
Haven’t heard much about McHugh. Probably getting third team reps with McBride gone.

If we can keep...the HC, OC and DC for the next 3 to 4 years I think we will make a good run for championships. I think we will be 8-4 possibly 10-4 depending on Championship game and/or bowl game opponent. Marshall and ECU are my 50/50. I think our offense will be tough to stop this year. I predict we score 30 or more each game (maybe a game where we run out the clock keeps us under 30)....Hopefully it is enough points for our defense. The defense will decide if it is a championship run.
This assumes you want to keep the HC for four more years. Not saying for or against but that’s a long time in the coaching world and it also bakes in an assumption of professional growth.
Well, if he's here for 3 to 4 years, then yes, I want him still. Because that means he is winning and not fired.

McHugh has a cannon. I honestly don't think I've seen anyone as a true freshman with his kind of arm. I would expect him to redshirt this year though.

I would too. He hasn’t played football in a couple of years so quite curious how he works out here.

I wouldn't be too worried about that. It's like riding a bike when you've done it long enough.

We will be as good as our offensive line.I think we have three offers out but it could be four .It might be that we take the first two that comitt. As to QB , from what I have seen , McHugh looked very good.I think the plan is to redshirt him but he can move , and sling it.If the other two are better overall , we are in good shape. As to record , it has to be more wins than losses this year , setting up championship runs in 24 and beyond.

Couple of references to McHugh and references to a cannon. That sounds good..is he accurate?...or Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn?...🤣

Agree. I suspect that Hernandez will be QB3.

Anyone want to take a stab at the "Post Spring Ball Depth Chart 2023"?

Assuming Noel is RB1 but who is RB2/3!?
WR room pretty solid, not much change there from last year I assume.
OL/DL going to look different.
Secondary going to have some new names.
QB battle!

Fun offseason ahead. Go Apps!

Too many moving parts to speak to anything related to a depth chart with accuracy.

Quite frankly all I’m interested in hearing is we won’t do business like we did last year.

Is he even medically cleared to play? Or is that why he is transferring? We won't clear him but another school may?

That’s a great question.

While true, he hasn't been in the picture since he's been on campus. He was being kept on scholarship in principle because it's the right thing to do, but he would have never seen the field for us because of a pre-existing injury that was worse than expected.

So, losing another OL is tough, but losing this one isn't as tough.
