This could be interesting. He is one that might stick around for a long time. 16 years at GW. Must have roots in the area or maybe doesn't want to move his family all the time.

The new ILB coach has worked with Sloan. I’m guessing he had a role in getting his guy in place.

Looked him up on WKU’s website. If his coaching is as strong as his mustache… we are good.

My money is on Sloan cleaning house and bringing in his guys.

Previous staff avg 32/34 pts a game means there were numerous issues that needed to be addressed.

Sloan is coaching Safeties. AJ Howard apparently is set to coach OLB and a guy from WKU is coaching ILB.

I think titles were still being worked out when the site was last updated. AJ has updated all of his social media platforms to OLB.

Interesting. If I recall AJ played safety. Curious to learn his experience coaching OLBs.

Well aware of that. I just prefer not being the team they cut their teeth on in transition to a new position. With that I have faith in the process and decision. Just found it interesting.

Look at this way. He was a talent scout for the NFL. He played in the NFL. He understands the skill sets needed to play the game correctly. He is well regarded as a student of the game. Does all that qualify him to be a coach? Not necessarily. His pedigree will allow him to be relatable to his players.

Excited about, and for AJ. Looking at his Twitter, there’s quite a bit of Cincinnati stuff. Was he set to help coach up there before getting this call?
