Has he gotten a tryout? I remember after the draft he was not getting a sniff and I was mildly surprised he did not at least get a tryout with his senior year.Woodstovegang wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 4:47 pmLooking for Chandler Staton to get a job at some point..... He's getting looks from several teams.
Kind of stunned he didn't land in NYJ, or a Balt front that needed help.
He apparently signed an injury settlement which means he is free at the end of the designated injury period to sign with another club. He's not on IR.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 6:58 pmHennigan wasn't cut. He was waived. He is still on Lions roster but on IR so he is still getting paid.
Blair surprises me. Evans and Martin will land somewhere.
Call me crazy, but I think he has a chance to have a bigger impact than Blair at the next level, good luck young man!Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 1:34 pmUndrafted rookie free agent has earned a spot on the Lions roster.
Every season, players who went undrafted are able to showcase their skills in training camp, in an effort to defy the odds and secure a spot on an NFL team's 53-man roster.
For the Detroit Lions, defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor has performed well above expectations.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Taylor has earned a spot on the Lions' initial 2022 53-man roster.
The 23-year-old went undrafted out of Appalachian State.
Detroit's coaching staff immediately took to Taylor, who consistently found himself in Detroit's backfield during camp practices.
The interesting thing with the new format to the PS is that it use to be 8 players and is now 16 so there are players who are able to last longer and thus may end up being able to break through for more than they would have 10 years ago. I don't know if he will be better than Blair but the way he plays I could see him sticking around for a while. They are different players and Blair has played for a while.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 2:09 pmCall me crazy, but I think he has a chance to have a bigger impact than Blair at the next level, good luck young man!Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 1:34 pmUndrafted rookie free agent has earned a spot on the Lions roster.

He is experienced and still good so I would be shocked if they don't offer him. Are there any other teams out there who seem to need a punter? If so, he has leverage but if not then they could get him for what Denver offered, I'm sure.Rick83 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 3:25 pmBUFFALO BILLSBreaking: Former Broncos punter Sam Martin is in Buffalo for a visit

Thats huge for them.
I will never forget the year Justin Seaverns led the Dolphins in tackles during the preseason and still got cut. These new rules have definitely helped some of our guys stick on now.DoublySports wrote: ↑Thu Sep 01, 2022 7:53 amThats huge for them.
I really hope that Hayes and Jolly get a shot this year, both had extremely succesful preseason. Jolly was even the leading tacker for one of the Browns games.
