Speaking of OC’s, I was at the Duke-Clemson bball game today. Clemson brought Garrett Riley (new OC) and his family onto the court at halftime and man that place erupted. They are obviously super stoked to have him. That guy is risen in the coaching ranks in a hurry.

Just getting back to this. I was perusing ponces twitter.

1. He has liked a couple app posts recently. Which honestly could be nothing given his relationship with current coaches and players.

2. We know he is still recruiting with cristobal. At least as of the 13th.

FWIW… His Wikipedia page begins with “Frank Ponce is the “former” quarterbacks coach for Miami.”. But if you scroll down to his list of jobs, it says “2022-present Miami (PGC/QB)….

Certainly has and I’m glad they aren’t holding the title game against them. Nobody in the country was going to put up 20 points on UGA the way they played that night.

I just hope Clark has not looked into getting Brandon Streeter. Clemson is so happy he is gone.

Garret called a fine game. I watched TCU all season and was shocked how lackadaisical their receivers and linemen blocked and effort they gave. Duggan had very little time to execute and do what he does best. All around terrible game.

It's absolutely insane the reactions of crowds and fan bases to a simple coaching hire. Some of these guys crowned as a "genius " and savior for a school is unreal.

Sunday will be decision day - it may get announced Sunday or Monday morning - It's either Watts or Ponce for the job.... But at this moment my intel says Ponce comes back because he knows both the QB's really well and has upper hand on Watts in coaching QB's obviously.

And oh by the way - App was 10-2 as Ponce as the OC.

Would they really announce today with it being a holiday? I would feel safe in thinking we hear this week for sure.

The interesting part about Ponce is that he has a tough decision to make because he is taking a real gamble by either staying at Miami or coming back to App.

BREAKING: Miami QB coach Frank Ponce is heading back to Appalachian State to be offensive coordinator. Ponce, a South Florida native, did an excellent job calling plays for App State in 2021 (34.5 ppg, 22nd among FBS teams). Hope to see him back home in the near future.
