Seems like he’s a good recruiter. We’ve offered a lot of OL in the past couple of weeks which makes me think we’re keeping him. He might be close to landing 2 or 3.

He is a good recruiter, but there's something going on there. There's a reason Clark had to finish the season coaching the o line..

That said, I have not heard he's on the chopping block

3rd and 4th down conversions. On both sides. That’ll do it.

I think the 3rd and 4th down stats show it is more of a coaching problem. The calls were terrible in many of these situations. I think we only had 4 plays from the same formation to get 1 yard on offense all year. Run up the middle; Read Option; RPO to Pearson; RPO to a slot WR in motion. All of these failed in the games we lost.

I think the RPOs are good plays but when you constantly do them in every short yardage situation, eventually a good coach/team is going to figure it out.

Too many because 1st down runs went for nothing followed by incompletes.

Gave up way to many 3rd and longs (3rd and 7+). Someone can pull the data but that's what it felt like all year.

If our PERSONNEL is not up to snuff, who is responsible for recruiting and player development?

Enough that David Jackson made a point of it on one of our game broadcasts.

Excuse me, this wasn't for offense. David Jackson's comment was about the number of 3rd and longs we gave up.

How many 3rd and longs did we create? So only 30 teams failed to stop opponents on 3rd down. What is considered "long"?

I'd like to see the stat showing the number of 3rd downs created by a defense.

Fact is that was bad enough that our head coach fired the man in charge of the defense.

As long as they figure it out now. No excuse to hear issues still come summer or next season. If someone has an issue and can’t patch it up then they should go. We don’t need this boiling over to next year.
