What do you mean by this? Coverages, blitzes, etc?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:52 pmClark essentially gave Jones an ultimatum in changing the way he calls things or taking his full state retirement. Jones chose retirement. He wanted one more year before retirement but didn't want to change his philosophies.
I edited the original, but yes. How he calls certain things in certain situations....yosef69 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:54 pmWhat do you mean by this? Absolutely. Great position coach, bad coordinator.HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:55 pmthanks Dale Jones for everything he has done for this program. Many of our biggest accomplishments have his fingerprints on them
If this is true, which you seem pretty trustworthy so I think it is, he needed to go. If he was so set in his ways as a coach that he wasn’t willing to make some changes for the benefit of the team, he doesn’t need to be coaching. Add on his poor use of Twitter, and I’m glad he’s gone. And he’s getting full state retirement benefits?? Yeah, I don’t feel bad for this guy. Later, Dale.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:52 pmClark essentially gave Jones an ultimatum in changing the way he calls certain things or taking his full state retirement. Wow. The man earned his retirement. I'm sure he is hurting over this too. The man literally dedicated half of his life to App St. Get a lifeMrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:26 pmIf this is true, which you seem pretty trustworthy so I think it is, he needed to go. Coaches have different philosophies on things. Doesn't make him a bad person or coach.MrCraig wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:26 pmIf this is true, which you seem pretty trustworthy so I think it is, he needed to go. Since you're in the know, and I'm not being a smart ass, do you know if there will be any changes to next year's schedule? Or do those things get announced more so in the spring? I wouldn't think so but I've been looking forward to the trip to Wyoming since it was announced years ago and it's a game I've always worried would get changed.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:50 pmCoaches have different philosophies on things. I have no idea about scheduling. I'd imagine it stays the same, but that's just a guess./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 9:54 pmSince you're in the know, and I'm not being a smart ass, do you know if there will be any changes to next year's schedule?
