Are we at three we are losing so far. Wells, Smith and Peoples?
I am not a fan of counting Peoples because he was always expected to leave for the draft. I would say 2 transfers. Edited to say that technically 4 have announced their intention to transfers.
Wells, Smith, LB Jordan Mitchell (annouced roughly a week ago) and DB Kaleb Dawson (announced in late October). None have really been shocking yet tbh. If more come, I will consider making a separate thread on just players who are leaving.

Losing Smith hurts. He was penciled in as a starter for next year. But, my guess is that means one of the young guys has stepped up and passed him or it was the product of discussions Clark had with players yesterday.

It will make landing multiple JuCo/Transfer OL that much more important. I guess it is finalized that hardy and hodges are done?

Last I heard is it's not finalized but trending that way... Maybe one of their decisions to stay played a role in Smiths decision? I don't expect that to be the case, but possible.

Not a transfer situation, but figured this is as good a place as any to ask.
Brendan Harrington, what was his injury at the beginning of the season?
Also, I’ve heard a couple people say it was not only season ending, but career ending. Is this true? Love watching him play, and his absence clearly left a big hole on the defense this year. Hoping he can get back on the field next year.
GO APPS!!

I was told at the Texas A&M official tailgate that the injury was a career ending injury. AppStateNews or Moose would probably know for sure.

Hoping to get him back but I am not expecting it. It is likely a career ending injury, but he's doing everything he can to make it back. Just isn't looking likely.

Hardy gone to nfl? Middleton took what seems like potential NFL guys to dinner for prep and hardy was in the photo. No hodges in photo though. Cam, harrington, brice, jones jr, hampton and lawson and 1 or 2 others i didn’t recognize in photo (i think cobb is one of them).
Hampton announced he’s gone to nfl, which we knew was going to happen.

I thought it was interesting to see no hodges in the photo. Obviously could be a multitude of reasons why as a student, but I am holding out hope for our sake that he wants to return.

If there was a sad face, I would click it. I really hope he can get another year. Just sad and I know he really hates it.

You lose Page to graduation. Brown and Wells to the portal. So you need to add three. Plus you could see more attrition coming.

Probably shouldn’t say this out loud, but App’s philosophy may not translate to a post NIL/portal world.
What about App’s philosophy won’t translate? What IS App’s philosophy?

Recruit under the radar players and develop them.
Other G5 programs are finding ways to get backup P5 talent that are impatient or recruited over.
If we adopt that method it will impact culture.

Maybe I'm old and don't get the new stuff but what exactly is the App culture, brand, philosophy? Aren't all of those adjectives purely hypothetical or even subjective?
