I realize it's over and Chase is moving on along with a whole bunch of dudes but I really don't get what some people wanted from him. Just short of 3,000 yards, 27 TD and only 6 PICs with a 63% completion percentage. He put more long passes on the money than any QB we've had in recent memory.

Chase played his ass off all season. The coaches did a horrible job utilizing his strengths and curtailing our offense to match his abilities. It seemed like we just did away with all the mid range throws....they were either bombs or lateral/ bubble screen passing plays.

I'm sure you folks see the same Facebook posts that I see. Way more coach firing vitriol there than on this board.

I’ve said it a million times, Chase is one of the best, most talented QBs to ever wear the black and gold. His arm talent was SPECIAL. The people that put this season’s failures on him, clearly have no idea what they are talking about. As QB1 he is just the easiest target for them.

Social media can be a good thing, but it’s also a swamp of disgusting and cowardly people. I’m talking about the individuals, who, usually anonymously trash him, most times tagging him, in the hopes that he sees it.

My fear is many realize what we had in Chase after he is gone. An incredible arm talent, but an even more incredible person, leader, and teammate.

GO APPS!!

Around 6200 yards, 54-17 TD-INT and the staff took the ball out of his hands every time it was time to either go win a game or step on a teams throat. It makes 0 sense.

I'm glad Chase ended his career in the Black and Gold. He's an all-timer and I hope he continues to be involved at some level (even just fandom) with the program.

I feel bad for him and the other seniors who were let down by some extremely questionable coaching decisions this season.

Per Wikipedia he is 7th in career yards, first in single season yards (didn't have the luxury of extra FCS playoff games), 5th in TD passes. Had he simply had a 3 year career he's near the top of most if not all App QB career stats. Several guys ahead of him played 4 seasons and some had several extra games every season.

And for the record, after Dashaun Davis has 1 carry against UNC and 2 against Texas A&M, our receivers had three more carries the entire season.

I thought Davis was going to be a huge weapon after the UNC game. Never really materialized.

He finished 1st on the team in receptions (37) and second in yards (441) with three TD's. With that said, it looked like he would assume the Malik Williams role after that game. (He did throw a TD pass against Troy)

Feel like we just can’t scheme guys open on offense consistently. Meanwhile on defense, everyone is open.

The last couple years have brought out the worst fans of AppState. Its at the point where I don't brag about our fans anymore. I don't attempt to interact with as many App fans as I once did. It's becoming so damn acidic.

People need to dial back the venom. It’s getting ridiculous. I doubt he just made that up out of thin air

Can you please point to venom directed at coachs' families here? Because that is unacceptable.

Crum is talking about social media. Mods of the cabin wouldn't let that go here. The quantity of discussion here pales in comparison to the rest of the internet.

Yeah no one is doing it here. Sadly though it looks like it’s nasty on other social media platforms

This is the only form of social media I participate in. Social media is a sewer. It’s sad that so many people, especially young people, have simply become addicted to Twitter, IG and tik tok. Destructive stuff.
