Looks like around 22-24 running backs get drafted in an average year.

This class has been highly touted, so for Cam to still be on these lists says a lot about what the scouts think about him. Most likely, he is getting drafted 6th or 7th round. He has given a ton to this program, He is a redshirt junior, but I hope he goes for the draft. He is already 23 years old. He needs to get that money before it passes him by.
He ain’t gonna get a sniff in the NFL.

The odds are against him, but he may prove us wrong.

Man, I just noticed on IG Cam has already removed app state RB and changed it to nfl Draft 23 RB on his account.

Yes. He quit on the team. He was cleared to play last week but chose to mail it in.

Screw that $h!t. Not a fan of that at all. I liked Cam…A LOT, but that leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.

This is probably unpopular here, but I don’t blame him for choosing not to play. Realistically, we had little to play for and he’s suffered a lot of injuries. Plus there seems to have been tension all year with him and the coaching staff

That’s unfortunate. He needs a personal trainer something fierce if he’s gonna stick at the next level

That is an unbelievable statement and total crap. Little to play for?

I saw a few games today with 4-7 teams and there were guys laying it all out there. We didn't really need Cam tonight as we ran for like 400 yards but he could have finished the year with his brothers. If he doesn't get an NFL shot maybe he can think about "mailing it in".

Huge twitter argument between some fans and him/his mom on this exact subject. Bad look all around for the fan base and University. Pain. Beat Furman!!! Take the stairs

What if Cam the public figure and Cam the player are totally different people?
When will "It's better than what we had" no longer be good enough for App State?

Sitting out a meaningless bowl game is one thing, not playing regular season games is another. Not attending the games is suspect. Read between the lines.

Rumors are normally based in some fact.

What if you had one chance in your entire life to potentially earn life changing money, would you do anything you could to try and make that chance happen? Cam is making the right decision for his life and his family. Cam if you read this you made the right decision for your future health and future potential earnings. These people on here suck at life and just want you to put your body on the line for their entertainment and don't actually give a shit about your future regardless of what they try to say or justify their selfish reasons with. Get as healthy as you can. Go get that shot at the money and let all these pathetic people cry away in their own selfish misery.

People aren't upset that Cam is doing what's right for his future opportunities. It's how he has handled the situation and that there is something more than the decision to preserve his health going on.

At this point, is it safe to say all of this conjecture about Cam's mindset, his health, his intentions, etc., etc. are academic?

Can we please move on?

Thankfully we have a staple of insanely good RBs.

I do think he made the right choice, this coaching is absolute dog shit. Why hurt your chances playing for a mediocre ass bowl? Love App State with all my heart, but I’d like for quality players, like Cam, like our other RBs, to play for championships and major bowl games. Anything less is unfulfilled promises

So what you're saying is that kids are provided full ride scholarships should give it their all until the team hits a rough spot and isn't eligible for a championship or a major bowl game? Once the team hits that spot and there are still games to play it's ok to bail and say screw it? At that point it's up to the other guys who have and continue to bust their asses in practice? Just not sure what you are saying.
