Help the coach out with an offensive play you would like to see.

I would like to see a formation with our two tight ends and a fast receiver lined up for a bubble screen to the fast receiver but run a few different play from that. Including a pitch/Short Pass to People to get him on the edge in a one on one with a defensive back. It would have to get 5 yards each play. The set up would have lots of options. I don't mean wideout...it would be fine to the short side. Let the big tight ends crash back toward the linebackers and leave peoples on small defensive corners.

Any play that gets us a TD when we most need it.

1. Anything out of the Pistol
2. Bubble screen fake to a run
3. Bootleg play action to the tight ends
4. Mid range crossing routes by the WRs
5. Dual RB sets where they are open in the flat for a pass.

Tight end seem routes
Jet sweep (who is fast enough?)
Any mid range pass not to the sideline
Cam 20 carries a game after Bob Morris

That is a very nice wish list!
Any counter type play when the D is loading to stop our stretch run, we were predictable Wednesday, better run defenses will give us trouble.
I'd imagine we're going to be more ball control from here on out to help our defense.
John Settle carried the ball 254 times his junior year and 317 times his senior season. What is that about 25+ X a game? I know the offensive game is different but, where did toughness go these days? Cam looked like a man among boys Wednesday night, we better use him while we have him.

Agree. As a now suffering Panthers fan it was tough seeing CMC go but there was a lot of talk regarding his work load. Backs don't generally get hurt being tackled on regular runs it's usually the outside ones where they hurt a hamstring or blow out a knee going to the sideline. I had heard an argument for CMC in particular to just give him the rock and ride him all you can. It was pointless to "limit carries ". Same with Cam. If he tears off a 40 yarder and needs a blow that's different but he's clearly a difference maker. If he is 100% or close he should be ready to roll the last 4.

I like number 5 and leaking one of the two into the flats and the other in for blocking or a draw.

RB split. Stack WR on front. RBs flare to wheel each side. Front WR runs a post, back WR runs a slant. TE on right side chips to dig.

Double pass in the game against Robert Morris. Berger to Castle to Stroman.

I'd like to see something Satt did versus Akron years ago. Stack WR trips on the right side. First play, do a screen pass with the other two WRs blocking. Then same formation, pump fake the screen pass and go deep to the WR who went go route. Went for a touchdown that day.

We've used that formation a few times this year but haven't thrown the screen out of it -- yet.

As I recall, John Settle suffered relatively few injuries. His build was much different than Cam's. Too, we were basically a run first offense. Just my opinion.

I would like to see something akin to when Refrigerator Perry would get the ball near the goal line. Who would be our fastest big guy that could pull this off?
