The athletic department is working on the expansion... trying to solidify funding. I have had a phone call on the matter with someone from the department....and, yes, our athletics department should try to capitalize after winning big games to see if they can get commitments. That is how marketing 101 works.
Given our student fees and other funding (Yosef Club, other, etc.) Is below many of our peers, we need that expansion and related commitments to be able to pay higher salaries...and give players nicer facilities..
That's true and good. But AppStateNews, the Baghdad Bob of Jack Branch, said that funding was basically secured almost a year ago. THAT'S the thing I'm pointing out.
I could care less what you or anyone has said in the past...
You just reiterated that funds are still not secured, and that's what we were saying this time last year.

Quite a few of us on here work across campus. We all have availability to some type of information. I've been here long enough to be able to weed through the BS, and what people have heard from Lil Dougie in the beer line. We can all come here and sort and sift through everything without all of the subtle jabs some try to throw.
I sure did say that as I had a direct conversation on the phone with athletics Dept. So with that, I really do not care what he, you or anyone else has to say on the matter. I had my conversation. Take it for what you want..I do not care.
Cool, I have conversations daily within Athletics also, due to my position. And I don't care what you have to say then either, lol. We are on a message board. This is a free flow conversation that anyone can join in on. Get mad if you want. This may not be the place for you if you can't
handle simple conversational methods.

Good for you..you evidently are not getting the point. You have your source of information. Given that mine was directly with athletics department. So why would I care what someone else says on a message board about what they have heard, etc. Mine came from the dept. I am not mad. The Sam can be said...if someone else has direct info from the source on a particular matter...why would they care "what I have heard" on the topic. They wouldn't or shouldn't as they have direct information from source. Thanks for your advice on the message board idea. Not....you do you dude.

OK I'm curious. Give what a rest? This is a 3 month old thread.

There are actual plans to expand to 40k, which is an understandable hot topic. What exactly are we giving a rest?

I don't think the East side will be done by the N.C. State game, just a hunch.

Haha it won't be done until 2027 if we started demo tomorrow.

I don't have knowledge if the expansion is or isn't "fully funded". I hope it is. I bet the difference is perspective of what fully funded means to various individuals.

I do know that when items are fully funded AND funds are committed the project is typically announced.
This was a fun thread to reread for some, probably not for others. Wonder how the fundraising and seat selection process is going.

Exactly! Plans are made. Seats are being sold. Give it a rest and let things play out. Quit arguing over how many angels fit on the head of a pin as ancient theologians would do. Trust the plan.

Gotta hurt a little. No East expansion or new Indoor, yet. Does anyone know if we are the only SBC team without a full 100 yard indoor practice facility? I was told that before, but never looked into it.

Is it surprising that at some point someone would look at expenses VS income? I think a 100 yard facility would be great but we just keep spending money we don't have. Does anyone know how much debt we are carrying at this point on athletics facilities?

Need the facility to keep up with the competition. It is what it is. The fan support has been there. Season ticket sales have been there.
This is disappointing. Hopefully, it gets resolved.

I'd love for all our programs to have the additional space, but building revenue generating assets would be a better use of capital that our program has access to. Hopefully the East Side club and box sales are going well to "fully fund" that project.
