You are getting your RV "hook ups" in the new stadium parking lot.

I believe I heard Dan Snyder’s son was on the team as a walk-on. Is he still on the team? I hear the Washington football team should sell for around $6 Billion in the coming weeks. That should cover any stadium renovations

They bought a lot of debt. May drag them down in long run.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2023 3:55 pmNot that this matters, First Citizens bought 88.5 billion in SVB assets for 72B. They got a 16.5B discount from the Fed/FDIC/Treasury.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
I do not think so. SVB was a good brand but terrible executive team. FCB has done double digit number of acquisitions of this type. SVB is a somewhat different animal to their traditional lending/commercial loan platform, CIT recent acquisition was a different line of business themselves. This younger group of Holdings seem to know what they are doing from a diversification perspective. Time will tell.
SVB client service at the line level was/is very good. When dealing with venture capital/PE, you need to be and move at a quick pace. It will be interesting to see if they make any dramatic changes to the customer service/culture idea...after integration.
I give them credit for not standing on the sidelines...only the future will determine how it plays out

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
SVB didn't diversify, plus most of their accounts were >$250k, so no FDIC insurance (rare among regional and community banks), making them suspectible to a panic-caused failure.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
It really comes down to a mismatch in duration of assets and liabilities aka very poor risk management, coupled with the fastest rise in interest rates ever. The winner there are the big four banks. Regulation forthcoming to help them even more.

Hell if he wants to cosplay as a football coach I'd hire him to fund our NIL deals too.

These are the plans that are floating around, but given some of the details in the background that no longer exist, there may be updates.

So pretty much mimic the west side. Those seem to be the same metal bleachers 2nd deck with concourse below. Hopefully that whole first floor in the tower will be concessions and restrooms to open up the concourse to foot traffic only. Bring all concessions and restrooms inside the first floor East tower. Have ample doors for ingress/egress to and from concourse.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
I don’t see them making any changes to the metal bleachers anytime soon. Too many other projects ahead of it in priority. I imagine that there will be some additional ingress/egress points through the tower as that is a major hurdle to get more than 40k in the stadium per the Fire Marshall. But outside of moving Stadium Drive and raising the tower from the ground up, I don’t know any more details as to what the concourses will look like.311neers wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 2:50 pmSo pretty much mimic the west side. Then why start the project in twoish years?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:18 pmThey definitely have secured funding.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:13 pmFunding was never "secured" they are working on this now. But the idea that athletics had the money and was ready to go was always ridiculous. Anything that may happen has been pushed off at least three years.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Gillin said on Monday that they need to finish the App 105 project first, softball stadium, indoors and outdoor tennis courts, facility, then the planned full-length indoor football facility, then the East Side facility. Likely two years before a shovel goes in the ground.
And with inflation literally affecting every campus project right now, I doubt the funding is completely secure. It's not secure until it get approval from the BOT and UNC BOG, which is a ways off.

Because there are other priorities right now that need to be completed ahead of time.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 4:28 pmThen why start the project in twoish years?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:18 pmThey definitely have secured funding.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:13 pmFunding was never "secured" they are working on this now. Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
The university doesn't do projects one at a time? If there was money secured for the East side, it wouldn't matter what else was going on. We did Hickory, the renovation of Sanford Hall, and 105 all at once. I TRULY believe the East side project will happen. But the idea that a STATE university could hide 50 or so million dollars is ridiculous. All we've seen are artists renderings. Are there actually engineering plans, the kind of thing you could take bids on? Is there an actual budget for the project? If not how can there be more than a plan to secure funding? "Funding secured" makes it sound like the money is there now. That is the only point I have tried to make.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 4:45 pmBecause there are other priorities right now that need to be completed ahead of time.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 4:28 pmThen why start the project in twoish years?AppStateNews wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:18 pmThey definitely have secured funding.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:13 pmFunding was never "secured" they are working on this now.
