Why did we call a time out against a triple option team on fourth and three from midfield?

love our receivers this year...they dont seem to get the same seperation as the guys we had last year as evident in the JMU game but overall they have done a great job and will only get better
We must be watching two different teams and listening to two different staffs...

These WRs, overall, are getting more separation because they have speed and can run all the routes.
I’m with you on this. These guys can definitely run and are gonna be as good or better than those we just lost.

I do maintain we can’t get too excited like this score is a shock. I posted in prediction thread a blowout if we don’t have a bunch of injuries and we have our stuff together. Citadel is really bad and we see a QB that a prior staff missed badly on who should be coaching instead of playing.

I’m glad to see this though and hope Shawn has learned to never take the foot off the gas. If this final is 38-17 or something I would be disappointed. I hope to see a couple other QBs and a lot of players get playing time with a 50+ win.

We need to use this month to get sharp and make statements because regardless of how good we look now we know that November will be 5x harder than October.

We are much better at WR than I had expected given all the talent that left from last year. Lots of potential. Hope to see what our future qb has in his pockets in 2nd half.

A gamble that nearly bit us in the ass. I know it’s 35-0, so I realize what I’m being, but fourth and three isn’t foreign territory for TO teams.

And if we get the stop and go down to make it 42-0, it's a smart move.

Again, football is easy in hindsight.

I thought the timeout was the right call. If you want "foot on the gas" then you call timeouts to get ball back.
Sometimes the other team makes a play

This right here.....I absolutely agree that separation is better with this crew compared to last year. Top to bottom a faster bunch than Sutton, Henni, and Malik. Loved those guys though. As this crew continues to get even better and crisp at running their routes, they will be tough to stop.
