Mercer and Campbell beat them pretty easily. They beat ETSU in a close game.

They had 151 total yards in their last game vs Mercer and didn't score.

Assume they aren't too good this year, but who knows what will happen this weekend. Especially with the weather.

Didn't realize Horn's brother play for Cid at nickel position.

Finally admitted we are "banged up" from physical football! Have to wonder if Noel & Peoples are not "banged up" more than they are letting on.

They have to be right? They can’t just be “fine” and the coaches decided not to give them the ball in a pivotal game, right?

Oh for sure.

It's been a recurring theme for a few years now in regards to injuries. I totally understand keeping all that information close to the vest, but it's still a bummer when you think certain guys are gonna play and they're maybe in for a series before being out again.

Kinda at the point of not believing a thing I hear or read when it comes to who is playing and who isn't.

It does seem like the team keeps getting hit hard with injuries the past couple of seasons. Certainly some bad luck.

It begs a lot of questions. Are some of our guys just injury prone? Are the coaches very cautious in order to not risk worse injuries? Is is something in our S&C program? It's interesting for sure.

I'm going to check the All of the Above box. My gut feeling anyways.

I feel for Cam. He's so damn fun to watch and it sucks he can't stay healthy for a season. He's practically unstoppable when able to go full speed.

Nate as well. His shiftiness and speed is special.

So much what ifs when it comes to this past Saturday.

"Bad luck" is often an excuse for... "I can't figure this out and fix it".

So Harrington is out for the season. He should be able to claim this season as a redshirt?

I heard it in the post game interview and again in the press conference....that our defense gave us an opportunity to win. I understand what he's saying...that towards the end of the game we got a stop, but we gave up 32 points! And that could have easily been more. I don't know..maybe it's just me, but I don't think our defense "gave us an opportunity to win against JMU"

You didn't listen all the way then. The defense gave us a chance to win because of the two early turnovers.

Defense also only have up 25 points since JMU had a pick six.

Ok..I'll withdraw my general feeling. Our defense has been playing lights out.

That's not what I said. But defense is not what lost this game.

Offense didn't score for 75% of the game. Two of the scores came on a short field because of defense.

If you want to put it on the defense, go ahead. But this game specifically was 100% to blame on offense. Defense did more than enough to win the game.

That's not what I said either. I didn't say defense was the reason we lost this game...I just don't 100% agree that they gave us a chance to win. We had some stops and caused some turnovers, but we also gave up 32 points (by the way, it wasn't a pick six...they returned it inside the 10).

So giving the offense two more possessions and giving up only 3 points in the first half didn't give them a better chance to win? Got it!

That should be more than enough to win a game. Offense is 100% to blame. Defense was the reason it wasn't a blowout.
