CLEMSON – Chase Brice, who earned a permanent spot in Clemson lore by coming off the bench to save Clemson football’s 2018 national championship season, continues to add to his legend.
Only now he’s doing it at Appalachian State.
The quarterback's latest claim to fame came Saturday when his 53-yard Hail Mary pass on the final play of the game lifted the Mountaineers to a 32-28 win against Troy.
"I called him and said he and I need to go to Vegas, like right now,” Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney said. “Man, unbelievable. His comment was, ‘Winners win,’ and I loved it. That’s Chase to the core, man – he’s a winner."
