Love our big crowds but…

I don’t if it was the fact that we had a record crowd but the West side was extremely crowded to the point that some of us in 205 were practically sharing seats.
I felt like some folks bought GA tickets for some in their group but crowded in together in the bleachers.
Could be the crowd, could be the “size” of the people on our row…anyone else have the same experience?

There was a group in front us in 205 who looked like young alumni that had about 7 people squeezed into about 4 seats.

My seats used to be in 205 and it was always tight. Sometimes its someone squeezing an extra in, and sometimes is just a few bigger folks side by side, not a ton of room between seats. GA tix work both ways, plenty of aluminum showing even at kick-off with 40k in the top of section 207, I guess folks prefer the hill or standing someone then using the seats they purchase. I sat up there about 25 years ago for a playoff game and it still had great sightlines, though it was cold as balls up there with the wind.

I had the same experience last year in 205. We moved our season tickets to the east side lower level 40 yard line best decision we’ve made. It was unbearable how crowded the west side was last year

Yes, the west side is tight. And I’m one of those bigger guys. There’s usually a few missing from our row except for big games. I’m not really sure why the young fellas in the green shirts were even there Saturday. I never saw them check a ticket and there was guy in red who looked like a supervisor that was asking folks to move out of the walkway in front of the upper seats.

There was a family who had season tickets that sat in front of us. They had two seats AND they had a daughter and she was always squeezed in there too.....

I think it's pretty common.

The west side upper sections need to all be expanded yellow seat back individual chairs to control the amount of people trying to go up and down those aisles anyway and they could probably fetch a premium price. There's just too many people on the west side underneath the stadium and trying to go up and down. I know it would reduce the number of total seats considerably but it would enhance the whole environment all the way around. It's just time to build something on top of the east upper deck or on or above the hill to replace seats taken away from making the bench seating into chair backs in upper half of the middle three sections on the west.

If you got individual chair backs you're not exactly going to be able to put extra people in there either.

Something worked better with concessions on the west side Saturday. People that went out did not take near as long to get back as last year. We got a Pepsi and a water out of the machine on the way in and didn't leave our seats.

When we went to Clemson a few years ago the bench seats in the end zone were packed tighter than I had ever experienced before. Basically they had minimal butt width to maximize seating capacity. Saturday at the Rock on our row was just like that. I think for us in 203, for many games there are a seat or two on the row that someone doesn't show for whatever reason. This game, EVERYBODY showed up. The guy beside us bought a single game ticket for that seat and it is an odd ticket that probably goes unused for some games. Plus some bigger butts in the seats. All adds up to MAX capacity baby.

I was in 203 and didn't have any issues, but I have a near aisle seat so it's pretty easy to see if anybody is pushed over too far. Getting out of the stadium was the only stalemate, we stood there forever, but all things considered, Gillin and team handled the logistics of this game beautifully.

I'm not sure of the current policy but back in 2018/19, kids 2 and under got in free as I took my daughter to a couple of games.

Know the child was very normal husband and wife were a little on the wide side but not really... Actually they were the parents of a pretty popular player that once sported very long beautiful blonde hair so no one said anything to them.... My wife was very jealous of that kid's hair...

The point made about little kids being able to sit on their parent's laps is same as when I am on an airplane sitting beside someone where the child sits on a lap, it becomes challenging during a 4-5 hr trip. I assume same for a 4 hr football game but I also understand the financial side for young parents.
