UNC v.s. App Watch Party

Unread post by /\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 » Sat Aug 27, 2022 5:14 pm

My dad lives in Charlotte and wanted me to reach out on here to find a good place full of App fans to watch the game next week. He graduated from App in 86, so a place with a lot of alumni presence would be a nice bonus. He lives near UNCC so close to there is preferred, but is open to going anywhere to watch. Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

Probably Angry Ales or Hickory Tavern. I’ve been to Angry Ales for a couple App away games and there is always a good crowd.

Ales will have the best App atmosphere.

I see Charlotte and surrounding areas have multiple Hickory Taverns. Any one in particular?

Angry Ale's is your spot. Eleven Lakes in Cornelius, if that is more convenient. Aside from that, look into wherever the Cabarrus alumni group usually goes. Doubt any group is hosting an event for a home game.

CATAWBA COUNTY area viewing.
Just heard the NOVEL Taproom in Newton will open at 11:30 and will show the game on their big “gazillion k” TV.
If you absolutely can’t make it to the game, you may bring your favorite tailgate dish and enjoy it (with some of their craft beers) during the game.

Hoptown Brewing in Mooresville will be showing the game. Owned by an App Alum, good selection of tasty brews.
