There is a benefit for them having a tune up game the week before. On the other hand they will not have seen any film on us this year.

I like our odds. I think our key to game is whether we get pressure on their QB. Force him to make it plays.
I think for the most part it will be status quo on O but I think there will be some wrinkles from the new OC.

ONLY about a month!!!

I just don't want the first kickoff to UNC-CH to be returned to our side of the field.

On a scale of 0 to 100 with 10 being non scholly DI FCS football and 95 being Alabama football (I'll leave a bit of room on each side) where do you thing UNC-CH and App football would land on talent? You mention they would out talent us and I would agree as it is hard to overcome a Prig5 conference and the flagship school in the state in recruiting. I would put us around 70 and UNC-CH around 79. Top 25 FCS is coming in around 40-50 on my scale.

This game could easily go either way. Both teams have pretty significant question marks. UNC is playing with a brand new QB though and that is pretty huge. App has an all new WR corps and a largely re-built defensive secondary. I take a lot of confidence in our WR Corps from the fact that Brice is returning. He practices with these guys and I think he feels very confident in the talent of these young receivers. On the Defensive side, App has a history of plugging in new talent and continuing to compete at a high level. That bowl game leaves a really bad taste in my mouth though, so I want to believe but I don't think I will feel comfortable about the rebuilt D until I see them kicking some butt. I just hope that butt is wearing baby blue!

I tend to agree with you here. It helps knowing that Bailey Zappe had a record breaking season last year and that game was kind of his exclamation point. I don't think we have to worry about facing a passing attack like that this year, thankfully. A new QB and a new DC should need some time to adjust and I think those getting their butt's kicked may be wearing baby blue.

Yep. Get to their QB consistently and we win if not I will be the most unhappy man for many miles around.

Although we gave up the quick TD in 2019. I believe we need to put pressure on QB as noted above from the beginning of the game given question marks we have in secondary. Although we did not do this as much last year... hopefully we will not give up the 1st drive obligatory TDs we were giving up a few years ago as a welcome present to the opposing team... :D

We don't recruit from the same pool , 95% or so.When we do I don't recall winning any. Unscientifically , we seem to be about midway among FBS schools , top 70? I would put their recruiting in the first quartile. At least based on what I read.
