How can you manage that? If you have a finite number of spaces.... let's say, they have 2000 spaces...and you say your policy is that you give $2500, you get a space..and 3000 people give $2500...we are in same-place we are now.
Agree with your criteria of giving level and points to break ties. There needs to be clear lines drawn.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 2:29 pmHow can you manage that? If I am athletics department, I would never set policy as this.
The policy should be no one is guaranteed a space. People have potential opportunity to get a space...However, there needs to be more clarity on how process worked..1 annual giving first then points break tie....or whatever the policy wants to be.. otherwise, athletics department is promising something they may not be able to deliver.
You're right. I just made a donation to the Yosef Club and they mailed with the receipt with the donation levels and benefits and parking included it's way way way too low. The graph we have showing football parking at $100 should not be there. I'm not even sure it should be there at the $250 level..... If we have parking left over and send parking passes to some people that weren't expecting them I'm sure they would be very pleased.
Yes, but you must remember the small donations are the ones the athletic department really needs. If every App fan just gave 10 dollars, Appalachian would have more money than it could spend, that is not true you can always spend every cent. It could afford so much more than it can afford currently.HighlandsApp wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 4:38 pmYou're right. You stoned when you were thinking that?spacemonkey wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 9:59 amI am no engineer, but when I was at App I thought a parking deck built above varsity gym would be a great place to add parking spaces. It would have an easy turn in from river street and the gym is down in a valley. I would think you could build it above it without touching the gyms/building. It could be one huge one floor outside deck or they could make it multiple levels.
I didn't write that clearly I mean football parking shouldn't be at the $100 or $250 level The level should be there but parking one of the rewards itemsAppWyo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 12, 2022 4:43 pmYes, but you must remember the small donations are the ones the athletic department really needs. They repainted Peacock lot so they may be working their way around. If I go to FanFest, I can ask.postalapp90 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:37 amTook a quick trip up the mountain Saturday. Drove through the Rivers Street deck and saw no indication of any numbered parking so I'm going to assume that its still festival style parking. Didnt go over to the Library deck but unless it was marked before this year I would think its the same.
According to an email I recently got, Rivers will remain festival parking this year.postalapp90 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:37 amTook a quick trip up the mountain Saturday. Glad to hear that. That was the reason I drove up. Didnt want to be looking around a dark parking deck for my space on gameday. Not to mention if someone else is mistakenly in my space.ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 1:44 pmAccording to an email I recently got, Rivers will remain festival parking this year.postalapp90 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:37 amTook a quick trip up the mountain Saturday. Speaking of parking, particularly at Rivers St Deck, what time do they open the lots for game day parking?postalapp90 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 5:17 amGlad to hear that. The week has came to a close and still no parking pass. They sure like to make us sweat.
