Re: Single game tickets
I do not. I just see on the app St family page. There is a Facebook page Appalachian State Ticket Exchange you can post the tickets if you want to offer them upAppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 4:44 pmI get that it’s Family Weekend, but still. If you know someone in need, I’ve got two in 212 that I’m not using.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 3:58 pm$65 for Citadel is due to Family weekend..they will sell out easy. I have a daughter that is a junior so I am in App. St. Family FB group
Parents are freaking out that they will not be able to see their babies at the game for Family Weekend.
Thought it was smartove by ticket office to consider supply and demand.

Re: Single game tickets
As of lunch today they are still selling them. East side is all that's left and going fast. Yosef's having a good day today at $150 a pop.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 11:35 amI will be shocked if they make it past Friday.canes_mj wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 10:00 amSeems like they could have broken this down into more tiers. Miami had I think 4 different groups. After the $2500 group, they could have done $1500-2500, then $500-1500, then $500 and below. We juuust missed Friday; we did $2200 this year lol. Gonna be chaos Monday morning.

Trying to call ticket office since 8:50 AM. Cannot get through and it's after 10.

Re: Single game tickets
Same, trying to call in since 9:00. Called over 75 times between two of us. Message says calls taken in order and then eventually disconnects or message says you can leave a message and then disconnects without being able to leave a message. Process this year seems like it is not working well as all. I know staff is working as hard as they can and is much appreciated. Phones were down on Friday, maybe same today. If App wants to have big games on campus in the future, they need a major improvement in their ticket office process. This is really annoying. We are long time season ticket holders and trying to get two additional tickets for our son and daughter in law who are also App grads. Hope the process improves.

Re: Single game tickets
Has anyone ever heard of a lottery? This reminds me of the old Ticketmaster calls of the 80's. Schools in the 21st century don't operate in prehistorics. All this for an overpriced ticket against an overrated arrogant university with a washed up coach.

Re: Single game tickets
This is another example of where we need better automation. No reason why we can't do all of this online via our ticketing system.

Re: Single game tickets
These are the kinds of frustrating things that make people not want to spend the money the next time.
It seems we are light years behind in ticketing technology. Paciolan was touted as a step forward but I haven't noticed any positive changes. I didn't try to get tickets for this but reading this thread makes it clear that even when we know demand is going to be high, we don't seem to do anything to ensure our resources can handle the increased demand.
Legitimate question: Do we just accept the fact that the system is going to fail because it's only for one game and we can't justify the expense because we don't see us having more games like this in the near future?

Re: Single game tickets
I figured this may be a problem so I purchased additional season tickets to avoid the headache. The other games I will give tickets to friends.

Re: Single game tickets
We'll probably see a press release later today and tomorrow touting the UNC game is sold out which will include platitudes about how dedicated our fans are, this is the result of winning football, etc.

Re: Single game tickets
Just wondering, when I called last week about away game tickets, I was on hold for 4 minutes and listened to Hi Hi Yikas as many times as it could fit in 4 minutes. Was the hold feature not working or were just too many people on hold?

Re: Single game tickets
My understanding is there were legitimate power outages on Friday. Once it went sideways and they started playing catch-up I'd imagine things snowballed. But it sounds like at 4:00 they turned off the lights and went home for the weekend hoping for the best on Monday and that wasn't the ideal plan. I'm sure campus IT will show up on Wednesday and fix the problems.

Re: Single game tickets
No we need a request period and every Yosef Club member and season ticket holder get one week to select games they want. It’s logged into a database and tickets are allotted based upon priority points, max tickets by donation level (I.e. 6 at the $2,500 level).
Then the following week singles are open to the general public.
This is how a first class operation would be run.

Re: Single game tickets
Not a bad idea. I would suggest running that up the chain with an email to Patrick Ransdell.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 1:02 pmNo we need a request period and every Yosef Club member and season ticket holder get one week to select games they want.
