What it Was Was Football

We old timers (which few are left ) on this message board might appreciate this classic by Andy Griffith (may he RIP) circa 1953. It is a parody of a football game at Chapel Hill. Those on here who call the Tar Heels, Tar Hicks should appreciate it.

I never was fortunate enough to have had the record but heard it zillions of times on the radio. The part about kicking the punkin' (football) around was one of the best parts

I was mentally quoting that record in '19 as I walked into Kenan on that Black and Gold day.
