The podcast at the end of the article is inciteful as well. They have the Sunbelt ranked third, but who can argue with them when only 4 teams qualified for bowl games; when you add ODU, Marshall, that would make 6, seven if you add JMU to the mix. So with the addition of four teams you have half the conference qualifying for bowl games in 2021. The future is as bright as the Sun.

What I find most interesting, is the fact that most of the big time programs are not in big metropolitan areas for the most part, but are in college towns. This is where the Sunbelt Conference is building its future, college town USA.

I predict the winner of GA St and App wins the east and I’d lean towards the Panthers pre-camp.

I’ll take Troy in the west with Ark St playing spoiler to someone in last four weekends as they finish 3rd in the west.

Don’t believe the East runs through Atlanta. We play GSU at home on a weeknight. No way they win that game giving them at least one loss. We could easily run the table in the East if we play up to our potential each game. More likely, our “must win” (hate that phrase) game is at Coastal. We should win the East even with one loss if we slip up one week. Troy winning the West I can see. I believe the CCG will be played in Boone.

Not questioning your opinion - just asking what about GaState that makes you give them the nod?

They have the least number of unknowns. 15 starters back from a team that won 7-8 to finish the season.

I think "pre-camp" is the biggest takeaway from Saints comment. We've got some positions up for grabs, and after August we could come out of camp more than impressed and feeling good about who will start this year. Still a lot of unknowns, and Georgia State has less unknowns. I do feel great about the fact that for the most part based off of last year's depth chart, a lot of our "Next man up" players are upperclassmen. Will the tenure and experience mostly through practice and some game time transition to a solid starter, that's yet to be seen.
