Apps First Big Challenge of Year per SI

Unread post by AtlAppMan » Tue Jun 14, 2022 10:22 am

I guess some folks don't really think we should have trouble with UNC as they say our first BIG challenge will be Texas A&M.

Nice that some folks see it our way.

10 wins with this schedule would be VERY impressive.

"The Appalachian State Mountaineers will kick off their Sun Belt title defense against North Carolina on Sept. 3."

Amazing. Two out of 3 things they said in that sentence are wrong.

True, UNC is not in the Sun Belt…..and sadly, we did not win the Sun Belt.

Projected starters seem correct, outside of Huff. One are that I would question is the comment that the secondary being a source of strength. It could be, but a lot would have to go right for that to be the case and would come with a small price in that we wouldn’t be able to red shirt some guys.

Plenty of errors here. But the fact that he said we'll face our first real test of the season in week 2?
Dude goes and TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF!

I wish I could share his optimism about our secondary.

App really needs things to fall its way in the transfer portal, sooner rather than later.
Until then, not much will make me feel better.

Texas A&M senior wide receiver Ainias Smith, who had been scheduled to appear at SEC media days Thursday, was arrested early Wednesday on charges of driving while intoxicated, unlawful carrying of a weapon and marijuana possession (less than 2 ounces).

If he's an important piece to their offense (don't know anything about T A&M), Jimbo will have all charges dropped by second week of the season...

Meanwhile some non student-athlete at some point this year is probably going to be expelled for a lesser offense. Got to love the way the world works.
