He likely Red Shirts. Too much in front of him to press him into service. He put up crazy numbers for sure. We will see if he can do it the FBS level.bigdaddyg wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 11:12 amFigured this is as good a place as any to ask but we have the running back from Wallace Rose Hill- Kanye Roberts who put up ridiculous numbers especially his senior year. I don't recall much discussed about him and I would think he's a red shirt this year...but did we potentially get a stud with this guy? I recall watching him in the state championship game last year and he's the real deal. I know we have great backs but what do you guys hear or think about him?

I think they’ll want to redshirt him but he also keeps making plays in practice. He’ll get some playing time and if any of the backs gets hurt…. he’ll play. We are fortunate to be in the position to redshirt him.

Re: Projected football depth after Spring
I would add Hopper to the list of True Freshman. Add NT KaRon White to RS Fresh and bold him I would bold Ethan Johnson Jordan Favors and remove McNichol. (No longer on the roster)Appstate88 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 12:03 pmFreshman Impact Player names mentioned this Spring and Fall Camp. Who am I missing? Who will make the 2 Deep - Depth Chart. Don't count out Markus Clark or Donovan Spellman. Coaches would love to RS but may need these guys, especially if they keep improving. Hearing good things for their future.

Out of these impact players, which do you think are potential game changers? Kanye and Hopper top my list.

Re: Projected football depth after Spring
I would say Stroman and White. It is a subtle thing, but we need Everett to be impactful. The only new OL starter and he is responsible for line calls.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 9:07 amOut of these impact players, which do you think are potential game changers? Totally get what you’re saying and I agree but let’s play the dudes that give us the best chance to win. That said, he probably needs a year to sit.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 9:10 amWe need to hope it’s not KanyeNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 9:07 amOut of these impact players, which do you think are potential game changers? I hope to see him get some carries and big runs in four games and a bowl game.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 9:10 amWe need to hope it’s not KanyeNattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 9:07 amOut of these impact players, which do you think are potential game changers? Re: Projected football depth after Spring
I hope you are right, because our better conference opponents know our tendencies and have begun to shut us down, when they shouldn't. Could be our previous 2 head coaches were able to stay ahead of the game offensively? Personnel was sure there last year.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 6:18 amSame offense with a few wrinkles.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 11:35 pmAre we running a spread offense this year? I think we are going to be slinging it around the field again. I thought Clark would work us back to a run tight end heavy set. I am hearing a spread offense.

Re: Projected football depth after Spring
Some of that had to do with our RBs making up for some subpar line play. (Unpopular opinion, I know). They were often breaking contact behind the LOS and still getting positive yardage, except against our, as you said, better conference opponents.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Sat Aug 20, 2022 12:31 pmI hope you are right, because our better conference opponents know our tendencies and have begun to shut us down, when they shouldn't.
