It's not worth $200 bucks to watrch UNC's baby blue arses anywhere against anybody. We are or almost are on their level already, so it won't be a big upset if we can them. They think they have seen a hostile environment before, but they ain't seen nothing yet. Having said that hopefully we can still act like we have been there before and they aren't Notre Dame we are facing.
Of course having said that. they get better every day under Mack. But still.

I am by NO MEANS even a fringe fan of UNC. I was treated very well in Chapel Hill before, during, and after the game. Their fans displayed a lot of class, which I appreciated. It was an all around good experience. We need to show their fans (and fans of all visiting schools) that we treat our guests with courtesy and respect, and offer an enjoyable game day experience. We aren't Georgia Southern. We are App State. We should make ourselves proud both on and off the field.

How about we treat visiting teams' fans (and players) the way we would like to be treated when we're at their place? Good natured trash talk is fine and part of the fun, just don't let it get it out of hand. Let's show the Tar Heels what a class act we are.
A single person behaving badly, caught on a cell phone video, can make it to national news and can embarrass and hurt our program's reputation.

Well..let me say this right now. My daughter and son in law went to UNC and will be with me in the NEZ. The first App “fan” that says something inappropriate I’m goin to knock the hell out of them.

I too will be in the NEZ with a Carolina graduate daughter and her husband (and my 2 year old granddaughter). My daughter grew up an App State football fan but chose to go to the Hill instead of the Mountain but ya gotta love 'em anyway...

I’m in the same boat. I have two in the NEZ and bought two on the State side because I will need them for some games. I won’t gauge anyone for the tickets but getting what I paid for the season should be reasonable.

I just talked to a unc grad who is getting "a kick out of us". Let me restate that. I just "listened" to a unc grad. He takes it as a complement that we consider them the biggest opponent we have ever played. He and his friends believe that we consider this our super bowl on steroids. He feels we should have a number of suicide prevention specialists on hand " when you lose". I did not respond as I never do with them. But after I walked away, as I always do, I had this thought. The jackass might be right on the money. We are building up the enemy. I hope the players don't buy into our frame of mind. We have much bigger games on the schedule.

If it is indeed our Super Bowl, we are playing it with a Lombardi Trophy already in our case. So, all we can do when we play CHeat is beat them again.
