Both , but primarily player development. As an example they conduct four simultaneous practices everyone gets the same number of reps and is held to the same standard. It's a Saban thing , Mini 'Bama.

Re: Who Comes Back??
I think he means the infrastructure of the program that was built under Napier. They pay their assistance better than anyone in the Belt, they have a far and away a higher number of analysts than any other Sun Belt program is known to have, and the admin has made an open commitment to win in football as is seen in the recently announced football enhancements to stadium, etc. In short everyone seems to be on the same page from the top to the bottom and they are putting their money where their mouth is and making sure they spend what is necessary to be the top dog. We have historically gotten by on far less, but that time may be coming to a close if other programs emulated ULL and significantly step up their commitment and spending.

I don't think the Comeback Shack needs to spend much $$$ on advertising. They often have all the business they can handle.Apple@chin1 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 11:59 amComeback Shack is missing the marketing boat with the covid super seniors they should be endorsing.

Re: Who Comes Back??
That’s not going to happen here. For a few reasons. Space being one. As I understand it, Frank wants to have eyes on his QBs so being on different ends of the field, let alone one group on the field and one group in the IPF isn’t feasible. Lastly, Louisiana, under Napier had 40 Analysts. That’s a lot of eyeballs to evaluate and provide feedback.

And to steal signs. This is an issue in MLB and NFL. Should it be a problem in college football?

Just run the plays in or have the QB run over in between plays.

Re: Who Comes Back??
Running plays in puts you in position for the ref to allow other team put played in as it is a substitution. I would think best to give the QB wrist band with play numbers. Change numbers each game....when in hurry up..all goes out window unless you have prescripted hurry up which I am not fan of as you may not have best play given down and distance

Yep, that works as well. You can even change the QB cards every quarter if you want to run the play more than once a game.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 5:24 pmRunning plays in puts you in position for the ref to allow other team put played in as it is a substitution. Re: Who Comes Back??
College football just needs to take the next step and allow a QB to have a headset in his helmet like the pros. I am not a major fan of having college match the pros, but in this instance it makes sense.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 5:24 pmRunning plays in puts you in position for the ref to allow other team put played in as it is a substitution. Re: Who Comes Back??
I'm not convince it's such a big deal. Sign and signal stealing has been in existence since the advent of signs and signals. As long as it's not technologically assisted, I don't have a problem with it. It's also an easy excuse when what happened with UL likely had more to do with familiarity and analysis of tendencies. My biggest, and really only, issue with our coaching is our predictability on both offense and defense. If you don't want your signs and signals stolen, have a better system. I'm guessing we get both of those issues worked out between now and next season.

Other than Brice and Chop, no. It is possible that the decisions have been made and they are waiting on the players to announce intentions.

Henry Pearson was teasing the idea of coming back on IG a few days ago. Sounds like he might giving his all for another year.

Re: Who Comes Back??
I tend to agree. If the coaches have not solved the problem then must not be a big deal.goapps93 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 7:34 pmI'm not convince it's such a big deal. I will say if I’m Pearson I’d want to be somewhere where I could get a few touches…..

Re: Who Comes Back??
With Sutton, Hennigan, Malik and Virgil all done, I’d hope the TE will get a few more looks next season.
