A Potential Tragedy?

Last night, I was fortunate to be given tickets in the New End Zone on the very front row. My 3 friends and I were shocked at the low height of the fencing barrier in front of us. It needs to be raised at least a foot higher to prevent someone from falling to their death. I plan on contacting someone over the facilities and express my concerns. In the meantime, I pray that no one falls to their death.

Why don’t you just head on over to their offices to lodge your complaint? It’s over in mamby pamby land.
Do you not think they built the NEZ facility to code? People like you are the reason we all have to wear helmets and can’t play lawn darts anymore.

If you don’t want to sit front row in a brand new, nice facility, plain and simply don’t. I’m sure the hill would gladly accommodate you

When I sit front row at a venue in seats like that I like when the rail is high enough I can use it as a foot rest but low enough to see whatever I'm there to see. If the rail isn't just at the right spot then I am annoyed the whole time having to adjust myself to see the action. I've been to Wrigley and sat near one of the poles and those poor souls right next to it were leaning the whole game.

APPdiesel, appstate24, AppDub and AppStateFan17, ya’ll aren’t mature enough to discuss this potential danger so just forget it. I contacted Gary Carter, who is the Director Of Operations, and expressed my concerns. I now know why so many people don’t want to post on here anymore. Scheww SMH

I have seats on the front row. I have heard folks echo the same concerns. Even though it doesn't personally concern me, I would have no problem if they raised it up a little, but it can't obscure views when seated. If they added the same protection found at the bottom of each set of stairs, that would obscure views. Not sure what the answer is.

Haven’t seen it, probably won’t see it and don’t really care but have been in NFL/MLB venues where they have what appears to be 12 to 18 inches of some sort of glass or acrylic product that you can see through with no problem yet still affords a safe barrier from falls. Better safe than sorry!

It’s taller at the isle. But as much as I laughed out loud at “mambly pambly land” I have to agree that the barricade should totally be higher. They’re around an adults knees while standing. The grade of the NEZ seats is steep, kids are unpredictable, and the NEZ facility serves high gravity beer, PUN INTENDED.

That high gravity joke hit hard.

Didn't realize making a statement about my love for lawn darts would hurt your feelings so badly. Immature, not really. Wasn't even a reply to your post, so I reject your finger pointing. Glad you got your voice heard. Dont be one of those people who make people not want to post on here anymore.

Now, hold on. It was boomers who gave us the great game of lawn darts, so some of us in Gen-X can walk around wearing eye patches.

This reminds me. Within a very short amount of time I noticed that Chancellor Everts posted on Facebook about the football win. It is possible a handler is working her social media but she at least allows that or she actually did post a very supportive message about the game. I bet she had something on Twitter as well.

Given the steep grade of the NEZ, I am surprised that the code allows for the current railings. I’m sure they meet the code, just surprised.

The steep grade is like that in many arenas. The old braves stadium was kinda wild in the nose bleed up behind home plate. The people in from of you were practically at your feet. The spectrum arena in CLT is pretty steep the further up you go. Ncsu, wake, and unc don't have as bad a grade. Cubbies and indians aren't terrible. Pirates have some angle to them up top. I think at this point designers want to give fans the clearest view possible at the risk of the small number of times someone will actually fall. It's all risk management.

She also tweets "Roll 'Neers." Gen Z is handling the account.
