This is the respect we've earned, and I appreciate the Tigers for coming to Boone.

Yes, it's basketball. But it IS great scheduling news. By far the highest-profile hoops visitor we've had since... UNC for the Holmes opener? (I guess you could argue Davidson in Curry's last year, but that one was a little different.)

Great news for sure but I think our guys are thinking this is for football with the mention of being a G5 program and what not.

Dang, I got all excited until I realized it was the wrong sport. I guess it is still good, but it would be so much better if it was football we were talking about.

my fault. I thought it was football. Second time I've screwed up in the last few weeks. I'll try and move it to the basketball board.

Bruce Pearl teams are fun to watch. Probably not going to win you a natty but certainly fun.

Well, he had top 10 teams at Tennessee and took Auburn to a Final Four (should have been in the title game if not for a bad call going against them). Neither of those are exactly blue bloods. Also took UW-Milwaukee to a Sweet 16. I don't think there's anything about his style that holds you back from winning a title, I think he's just been at programs that aren't the easiest places to win.

(Now keeping you out of trouble with the NCAA is a different question...)
