I believe they still get ranked higher than us if they get beat.
I want Memphis to get beat so damn bad, but if they beat Penn State, it makes us look better. If Penn State beats them, they will say Memphis is better than App and that's why App wasn't going to the Cotton Bowl.
I want all the AAC teams to get destroyed, except Memphis. If Memphis wins, it makes the Group of 5 look better. Last year, the announcers kept saying over and over how UCF hasn't faced talent like a Power 5 school all year. I think it's time for the Group of 5 to make a statement.

I think Memphis will beat Penn State and it may not be close. I don't believe Penn State is better than last years team and we almost took them in a close one.

I think we should all be pulling for Memphis. If the “best” G5 team can’t beat the or at least play with the number 10 team then it hurts all the G5 rankings.

I’m against any AAC team in bowl games. We need Penn State to destroy Memphis to help shrink this idea that the AAC is closer to the P5 group than the G5. That will help us in future seasons, because right now the perception just basically auto bids the AAC champ to the NY6.

I think all Memphis losing means is that the wrong G5 team got sent to the Cotton Bowl.

As bad as I would like for Memphis to lose. We need to pull for them as the G5 representative. Interesting odds are PSU -7. Wonder if it would be that or less if App had made it in?

I have to support our fellow G5 teams. But it's weird. On one hand, I wanted Boise to lose for the sake of the AAC going forward. But then all the P5 haters come out of the woodwork.
As UCF fan I have no problem admitting Boise has set the G5 gold standard. 3-0 in major bowls and routinely hit 10 win seasons. Their "down" seasons are rare 8-9 win seasons. Yet after doing this for almost two decades they still get disrespected. Which is why I'm all for G5 teams taking pride in everything they do, even the sillier things like UCFs national championship claim. Because the only times P5 fans will speak positive about any of our programs is as a comparison to bring down another G5. But then I'm a vacuum they'll still insult your program.

I was hoping UCF would beat the crap out of Auburn. Just so sick of "we don't have the talent, we aren't good enough, we don't have the speed of the P5 schools, we don't we don't we don't". That game last year was a constant insult to UCF the entire game. Just pissed the hell out of me.

Flip flop the resources for a couple years and see how good those P5s are. I'm ok being selfish here...Go Penn State, Beat Memphis. App State becomes the highest ranked G5.

Agree somewhat or totally with all the commentary.......but I'm more like the hell with the rankings and happier with the idea of having the best overall record among G5 programs.

True, but the AAC’s puffing of their chest all year, while downplaying all other G5 schools, especially those they felt threatened by like App and Boise, deserves a beat down to bring them back to earth, IMO
