We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Offensive coordinator
It is time to promote somebody to OC. Our OC is afraid to call an aggressive game because he is the HC.

Re: Offensive coordinator
Wow
Uhhh no...
I'm not happy with all the time Drink b/c he telegraphs plays. But losing Sutton changes the game plan. Drinks biggest downfall is not mixing up the way he runs the ball. If you're going to run on first down dont make it so obvious. The 2 best players on TXST are LBs. Those guys are NFL talent and they can sniff out a simple run play. If they arent doubling Sutton the game changes.

Re: Offensive coordinator
We have about 260 rushing, about 190 passing. I suspect they half half of that or less. I'd let the OC keep
on going. Maybe the first year he wants to keep his hands in it and just maybe he will relinquish that role in the off-season. You never know how another man is thinking. He is used to calling plays and game planning. Maybe he will slide into the overseer role later when he feels the O is secure with somebody else. Who knows but him?

We're 10-1, ranked multiple weeks, setting Sun Belt records for wins each week. Two P5 wins over flagship schools. Possibly clinching the SBC East today. We're in the NY6 access bowl conversation, Call me crazy but I'd leave things just the way they are and let Drink do his thing.

Re: Offensive coordinator
Okay guys, I was speaking out of frustration. If drink could strike a balance that leaned a little more aggressive than it does not, we would be unstoppable.

Re: Offensive coordinator
Drink has a game plan and he is going to follow it. If that means running the ball every down that’s what he will do. No matter how painful it is for us to watch sometimes he is going to follow his plan.

Out of all SB teams we should be the most comfortable in adverse weather. (My opinion) we've had teams in the past that looked at bad weather as an advantage. Hope our staff embraces it cause it is part of life on the mountain.

If this thread reaches 15 pages and 150 posts, then I most certainly will. But if you can read the chart, I don’t even have half the posts of the leading poster. Re: Offensive coordinator
Are we getting soft practicing inside when it sprinkles? I am not a fan of going inside because of cold or rain. App used to practice in whatever the weather except lightning and it showed in cold, wet and nasty games.

Re: Offensive coordinator
That was my thoughts exactly when they built the indoor facility. Our guys are no more used to playing in bad Boone weather than anyone else. Really believe it’s affecting us in bad weather games.Appalachman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 9:01 pmAre we getting soft practicing inside when it sprinkles? Re: Offensive coordinator
To quote Herman Boone in "Remember the Titans:" "We run the veer. It's just like novacaine....give it a little time and it always works. We had 280 yards on 49 attempts for 5.7 yds/rush. I'm not a math whiz but 5.7 yds/rush = a first down every two plays.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.
