It is going to suck when they start putting up the walls and we can’t see the interior work. I like checking on the progress.

Though I assume with the walls up much of the work will continue forward regardless of the weather outside.

This is fascinating to watch as it happens. I check back about every hour to see if I can catch something new happening. They're still putting up steel on the East end of the building while pouring floors on the West side of the building. Massive cranes and concrete pumpers. Those pumpers are big ticket items and can reach really hard to get places. Each pumper unit costs between 750,000 and 1 million dollars. Progress isn't cheap!

I noticed this morning they had about 5 different crews working. Really trying to get it dried in before winter.

The amount of progress that has been made in the last 5 weeks is pretty stunning. Going to be pretty excited to see how this looks when completed.

A pump is about 1,500 to 2,000 extra to use for a pour as opposed to backing a truck in and pouring. It's just elevated deck slabs being poured. Steel always goes up extremely fast as it should. Ya'll are gonna die when the roof goes on because it will look like construction has died or slowed down.
Not gonna lie it is fun to hear from ppl who aren't in construction talk about it. Concrete can be poured in the snow easily it all depends on the mix and what the plant decides to do to put in it. I bet the slump is super low and they added a type of accelerator and some Super P to the mix thats what I do. You will see blanket on the slab after the pour to help with the curing.

Sub Freezing temps not good for concrete...cool or cold temps harden concrete nicely.

I wonder if the school can get a humongous banner made to stretch over the open end of the new building that has a picture of stands filled with fans. It could represent a full end zone seating and then during the eventual home championship game the ESPN cameras could pan the crowd and it will look like we have about 30,000 plus in the stadium.

The steel wall on the top of the building is irking the crap out of me! The top plate on the third section of the wall looking from the west side is not tied in. It is sitting on top of the post instead of being secured level as the others are. Clearly I have deeper issues with control or OCD or something, but I don't know why the wall wasn't assembled properly in the first place.

I hope the stadium side seating comes out significantly from the structure. As it is now its way to far away from the field.

I trust there is a good reason but the distance from the endzone has irked me from the beginning.

I know everyone's focus has been on the end zone project, but the entire complex they are building has gone up very fast. Considering past projects, this amount of work in such a short time is extremely impressive. It's a shame that we will have to wait a while but I'm hopeful App's first home game next season is under the lights on national television. And cover the track....
