Does anyone have any idea what is best when it comes to parking at UofSC? The Gamecocks' website wasn't much help unless you want to pay $40+ to park close.

Is there public and private lots in and around Columbia where visitors can go?

They have several tailgate pavilions that are private near the stadium. These have parking and a covered Pavilion in the center with shade and facilities.

They also have a huge RV lot across from the Fairgrounds (Visiting SEC fans show up mid-week by the hundreds)

The Fairgrounds is a 5 minute walk from the stadium. When, I attended a concert at the stadium, this was public parking on the grass with full tailgating.

I am sure others will have specifics, but there should be plenty of options within walking distance. The stadium is in a fairgrounds/industrial area away from downtown proper.

Several of us are parking in the Blue Lot (Fairgrounds) a short walk from the stadium. Here is a link to help you figure out your options:

There is a lot of public parking not too far from the stadium, especially up and down Bluff Rd. Many businesses that are closed on saturdays offer parking.

Wow, just checked stubhub. Parking is already $80+ for most spaces close to stadium. Hope it's all mountaineer fans!
