I really hate losing to Stink. Its engrained in us as soon as we learn what it means to be a Mountaineer. It truly is deeper than hate. That being said, a close second is whoopin some Tarheel butt. We need to get over that P5 hump and this is a great opportunity. They are rebuilding and we are stacked. And I really hope we spank them worse than the other Carolina does. If Charlotte was a better team, they would be third on the list, but if we lose to them, then we don't deserve to be in the conversation with any other game on our schedule. I think they will be the worst team we play this season. That being said, USC is the third biggest game on our schedule for me. If we manage to beat both Carolinas we deserve whatever attention we get. Of course this is all a pre season wish list based on a set of high expectations. Reality has a way of kicking us in the nuts if our heads swell too much.

Chapel Hill
The Stink
Charlotte
The other Carolina

Dont want to lose to any of them, but CLT would be a devastating loss. Either Carolina would be a very significant win.

Beating either Carolina would be awesome, but if the hypothetical scenario is to beat them at the cost of losing to Southern or Charlotte - I wouldn't do it. Like the article says, losing to UNC or USC would just further the perception that "lil ol' Appy will give the good fight to P5's, but come up short." Losing to Southern would mean their first win in Boone since 2007, and their first back to back wins since 2001 & 2002. No thanks. Losing to Charlotte would mean... embarrassment, to say the least. 49ers fans might literally explode from their collective buildup of smug.

Ok, I'll play:
1- Ga Southern because I HATE them/intense rivalry in every sport!!!
2- UNC- we need a P5 scalp & beating them in C. Hill would be sweet;
3- TROY- huge Conf game on the road;
4- USC- beating an SEC team on the road in our recruiting footprint would help elevate our program;
5- UNCC- lots of friends graduated from there, so I want to keep "bragging rights", although, I'm not a big trash talker. I didn't have to say much last year!!!

Troy matters to me way more than Charlotte. I don’t want to LOSE to Charlotte, but otherwise the game doesn’t register for me.

I respect Troy.
I love to hate the Stink.
UNC makes a statement in N.C.
USC makes a statement to the nation.
Every other SunBelt game is meaningful in the quest for a conference championship.
ETSU brings back fond memories of SoCon games.

Charlotte I just want to beat so their five fans don’t troll our board.

The right answer to "which game matters most" is of course the next game.

And the game I want to win the most is the Cotton Bowl, because it means we won all the games before.

But to play along, I would rank the most important regular season games this way:
1 all the SBC we should be heavily favored
2 Ga Southern
3 Troy
4 Louisiana
5 Charlotte & ETSU
6 UNC CH
7 South Carolina

But of course I want to see App beat the Heels most of all.

Our game means the most to UNC- Commuter because they’ll finally get to see their team mentioned in the Charlotte Observer.

I don't want to lose to Charlotte, because if we do, it means we'll probably lose all the other games because you'd have to be gawd awful to lose to Charlotte.
