Can confirm it was cold as I was there. It was also a time when we stayed in the stadium until 0:00, no matter the conditions.
GIVE 'EM HELL APPS!

I was there with my wife to be, surprised she still married me after that game. She was miserable. Ironically, now that I see the date, we were married exactly 5 years later.

Re: 1987 vs. Georgia Southern
That was a cool thing to watch on Youtube. Everything sounded so familiar. According to the announcers, offense was good but it was the defense that won the games that year. Run the ball down your throat, smash mouth football. Defense giving up yards, but not points. That has been the App recipe for success for a very long time.

My Dad coached Ritchie in Pee-Wee football. What is he up to?
Also, this was the coldest I have ever been at an App game. Drove up from Atlanta that morning and was not prepared.
