IT'S BOWL WEEK!
Get up, Mountaineers! It's not just any week... it's Bowl Week! That's right! Our trusty Mountaineers will be en route to the Big Easy later this week for our first showing in the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl! I know that there is a ton of commotion going on around App State Athletics right now, but let's put the rumors aside for the next few days and focus on one thing: supporting our student athletes to another bowl win this upcoming Saturday.
To kick off this week in fashion, let's reflect on the season so far and what made us proud to be Mountaineers. I'll start by saying that the Championship game being hosted in Boone was surreal. While the weather was dreary and cold, the fans were energized and our team brought it, playing hard till they couldn't play anymore, even in the face of rumors surrounding Satterfield's departure. These guys went out there and showed that App State is more than one person, but it is a culture, a community, and a tradition. THAT'S what makes Appalachian special and THAT'S what we need to focus on this week!
What was your favorite memory of the season? Share below and get pumped for NOLA!

Re: IT'S BOWL WEEK!
I will say Satterfield. What he has done for this program is unheard of. 3 conference champions, 1st outright champion, 3 bowl wins and the development of "STUDENT" athletes. I wish him luck as he deserves to move up. The athletes have won the games this year and the same athletes will win this bowl game too. Go Apps!! See everyone in NOLA!!

Corey Sutton’s toe drag, and the reaction from the fans after the replay when they realized he had indeed made an amazing play.

Re: IT'S BOWL WEEK!
One of my Favorite memories from this year = Taking one of my best friends (UNCC Grad) to the Charlotte game with us. Taking over the Tailgate Lots & making their stadium very Black and Gold. Then winning that game 45-9. That was a fun day.
Also, Penn State was a great experience and we should have won that dang game.
See you all in NOLA!!
Beat MTSU!!

Re: IT'S BOWL WEEK!
One of my favorites was seeing Evans take our opening kickoff to the house and put Penn State on notice that we were there to win a football game...not just to collect a check.
Another favorite was the safety by the defense at Coastal when we were denied the touchdown by the refs on 3rd and 4th down attempts at the goal line. We were so into it and their crowd was non-existent.

Man, all of these are great memories of the season, I would definitely say Zac Thomas early this season and the way he was picking apart defenses, I’m ready to see him do that again.
Also. My son running up to Jalin at the championship game and getting a picture and his autograph on an App Football. My son loved it!

Re: IT'S BOWL WEEK!
For my favorite moment, and I know it's not seen well among most, but seeing that #25 next to App State was surreal. Regardless of how it ended, that was another milestone moment that we were told would never happen five years ago.
I remember walking into Beaver Stadium not sure what to expect with Zac and company, then three hours later thinking we'd win the rest of our games, and we almost did.

I’m with you. I hadn’t bought a newspaper in years, but I bought the Monday Richmond Times—Dispatch just to see the Top-25 in print.
