What coaches Satterfield is retaining at Louisville and which ones are following him yet?
Didn’t see the press confrence to know if any information was given there

The press conference made it sound like he was planning on taking most of his assistants. A few won't be coaching the bowl. At least that's how it sounded to me.

This is concerning. It’s almost like he is giving us the finger. I know he isn’t but that is how it feels. He could hold off on assistants till we get done with the bowl right?

He is probably out of the loop, but during halftime of the basketball game Pierre Banks just said Coach Ivey would be leading the Mountaineers in New Orleans. He also said we shouldn’t miss a beat with Bryan Brown still running the defense and Frank Ponce calling plays in Nola.

A man can hope we keep as much of the staff together for this big bowl game. GO APPS!!

I assume the ones leaving before the bowl would be recruiting for him. Who was named recruiting coordinator after Sloan left? I could see him getting them out before the bowl game with the coordinators coming afterwards. I wish they would hurry up an name his staff so we can know what we are up against

Scott may want to interview current assistants at UL before making any decisions.

He met with them today, was hoping he had an idea already and was able to decide from that meeting. I think he knows who he wants to bring with him, so that should solve most of the equation

Are we sure he isn't giving us the middle finger? I'm beginning to feel that way a bit...I've been huge supporter of Satt and I wish him all the best. I've taken jobs for money before so I don't blame him but this doesn't feel quite right at the moment.

Unfortunately, that is the way the game is played with coaching changes. I don't like it but we haven't been in this situation in a long time.

It sucks but it’s to be expected. Maybe once the pillaging is done and the dust settles, one day he’ll throw us some bones such as a home and home or a talented recruit he cant use. Anyway our new coach will probably have a good list of assistants ready.

He will certainly take guys that he feels comfortable with and that he know can handle the extra “gusto” playing at this level will take. I honestly see him wanting Woody over Brown due to Woody already having experience at a P5 program and Brown being wet behind the ears. But with the budget and level that UL is on, I don’t see why he would not take/make calls from some guys with stronger resumes to fill his staff.

There is no finger involved. This is a business. He is the president and the AD is the chairman. If the president does not perform he is out the door. The president does what is best for him and his present employer not his past employer. If it was that important to his success he would take them all TODAY. It has nothing to do with loyalty to a past employer who no longer pays him. It has nothing to do with him not appreciating us. It has to do with a University spending a hell of a lot more than three and a half million on him. They are looking at him to win an ACC title and that is a pretty big mountain to climb. No finger, just a HUGE job in front of him.

And that his boss at GT is leaving
