Who do you think will replace Satterfield?

Promote an assistant?
Look for a P5 assistant?

Not sure financially what our options are, but what do you all think?

There will be a very long list to pick from with our recent success. Who wouldn't want to run this program with our recent transition and only losing 13 seniors?

This is not a fixer upper by any sense of the term. At least not right now. We should compete for NY6 next season if this next transition goes right

Not sure, but I just hope this roster doesn't get wasted. Whoever it is, "he's been handed the keys to a Ferrari. Now his job is to not crash it."

Scott said often, "The program is bigger than one person." We get that. Time for the next caretaker of a long and fruitful legacy.

Well I don't have any specific names in mind other than Horton, but here lies the problem with hiring the next guy. Satt left the cupboard pretty stocked for a two year run. You have to be careful that you don't hire someone that will benefit from the cupboard, reel off two 10 win seasons and then bolt for greener pastures on the coat tails of someone elses hard work.

As long as that person is doing a good job recruiting and doesn’t leave the cupboard bare for the next guy, i don’t mind them succeeding from someone else’s accomplishments.
I don’t want to replace a coach every 2 years, and I don’t want a crappy coach getting a good job and leaving our program in disarray, but if we keep performing at a high level, I guess that is the best we can hope for

That's why it may be smart to go with someone who has been at App before and been in the P5 level a long time and wants to come back. They would surely be coming to stay a while and we would not have to worry about someone leaving for greener pastures off the labor of a previous staff. I use to think we need an up and comer from FCS or a G5 coordinator but I think we need someone that guys like Ivey and Clark know, trust, and would sty to coach with. Could keep our staff in tact. You never know who DG knows as well. I trust him completely so whoever he brings in I believe will be the right man for the job.

You’re assuming several of those guys don’t go with Satt. They’d get significant raises as well.

We’re in the same boat UCF was in at this time last year. Worked out pretty well for them.

Several will go , likely everyone he wants , unless offered the top job. I see three candidates there.

Very few fan bases have this much faith in their AD. We have a good one. In DG we trust.

Nebraska improved greatly in the last third of the season. Frost completely tore that program down, got rid of the folks who didn't want to be there and figured out who really wanted to play for him. I think next year will continue that upward trend.

Urban Meyer. Doesn’t need money. May be wanting to coach without that pressure. Great place to retire. Imagine the recruits. Another Jerry.

Yep. Everyone's "wish list" seems to fit what Horton will bring. I love his resume and I love to hear that he wouldnt be looking to go anywhere if he got the job.

I think I want Horton with Ivey and brown. With Ivey and Brown training to take the reigns.
