Noticed on Saturday's broadcast that Victor Johnson limped off the field in the second quarter and I'm not sure if he played the rest of the game. Anyone know his status?? He's obviously pivotal to our success these next two games.

Listened to the coaches conference call yesterday and one of the questions was about the status of Vic Johnson. Satt just said he was day to day without revealing any other info. Like normal, he was pretty tight lipped with injury info.

Did mention and I saw that he tried to come back into the game and after the game Satt thought that would be a good sign to him playing this week.

FWIW, I spoke with him on the field after the game and he said it wasn't a big deal.

This would certainly have an impact on Saturday.

He actually limped off twice in a game. I didn't realize he came back in and finished.

Don't think he finished. Limped off in 1st half. Tried in 2nd half and limped off again.

OK, thought so. I misread someone's comment above suggesting he came back in to finish. I didn't recall him coming back after that second time he limped off.

You can't have too many quality O linemen.

If he starts, I'm sure ULaLa will attack our offense from his side and test him.

What defense? App played conservatively against Louisiana in October and the result was a relatively close game. Watching the game, I still feel like App dominated in all facets, but Louisiana got a garbage time score to make the result closer than it seemed. This will be, hate to use a Pirate phrase but it's applicable (and ECU can't use it at this point), no quarter given. It seems that App teams of late have a penchant for slumping on offense or defense in the middle of the season, most likely due to injury, and picking up steam down the stretch. This freight train isn't stopping Saturday and hopefully keeps chugging all the way to New Orleans and over Marshall University.

He came back in on first down of the opening 2nd half drive. Tried to get set and couldn't. Then signaled to come out before the snap. He did run to the sidelines though.

Yeah, when I saw him come off that second time, I knew something was not right with him.

You must be confused sir. Your team is playing The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns on Saturday for a championship. Maybe you should respect that institution, as our media folk have gone out of their way to pronounce your name properly.

But I suspect you'll have no issue remembering the correct name going forward :D

EricSaid - I edited my post for clarity.

You can put your claws away. Relax it’s ok. We are just talking football on here. Not nuclear physics.
