Troy-Tx State game-what happened???

So, does anyone know why this game was so close? Did Troy sit there starters some since this game wasn't crucial for them? Or did they have injuries? Did they fall into the "trap game" syndrome? Just curious why they didn't destroy Tx State at home.

Yeah it was a bizarre game. Troy was plus 6 in turnovers in the game.

I was wondering the same thing, 5 INTs and they could only muster 12 points? Wow. My thought was they played very conservative (based on their rushing totals) knowing the importance of this week against App. They could have lost and still controlled their destiny if they beat us in Boone.

I saw some of that Troy/Tx.St. game. One WR was injured during the game, and another did not even dress out. A third did not play. They had like 80 yds. passing for the game. I doubt it was sandbagging; it looks like they won a game that Tx.St. was trying to lose.

Remember, the Stink struggled with Texas State just before we visited Statesboro. We better be ready for a dog fight on Saturday.
