Can anyone recommend a bar near the stadium for a pre-game meal?

Flying Saucer is going to be your answer. 50+ beers on draft and another 100+ in bottles. Great food as well. Probably 1000 yards from the stadium entrance. There’s another bar called Ales but I’ve never really been a fan. Those are the only two options within walking distance of the stadium. Flying Saucer is the answer.

I would recommend grabbing food and drinks in NODa and taking the lite rail up to the game. There’s a stop right at UNCC. It’s super quick and easy. A lot more options along the lite rail line closer to Charlotte.

Come to the purple deck and tailgate with us... Food will be better, and some of the people we tailgate with are pretty entertaining.

Are both bars about the same distance to the stadium? Never been to either bar. What is the negative of Angry Ales in your opinion?

Don’t forget the big Friday nite App State gathering at Catawba Brewing in Charlotte 6:00-11:00. Sweet place, awesome brews...Catawba founder is App State alum Scott Pyatt.
