This game does not deserve a shirt.

They made it a black out game (even though black is not one of their colors) in an attempt to hide the fact that there will be a large percentage of App Fans

If true, that's both smart and sad.

Are they playing for a golden razor? Do the losers have to shave?

If LSU/Arkansas didn't already have this trophy (although shaped like the 2 states), I think a real "Golden Boot" Trophy would work. Maybe we can get them to settle on a "Golden Boost Mobile" Trophy.

The blackout game was a joke from a poster on their board. No way they do that, or show me the proof so I am convinced.

Give them credit for promoting it. Their fans do not want to promote it much due to the likely outcome.

I think we need something to replace the WCU rivalry that is also the other school's rivalry. We have GaSo but GaSo has GaSt. Maybeb CCU becomes that for us or ECU. I would prefer it be a conf game but we do need something I think.

Count me as just not needing another in-state stepchild to abuse in the name of rivalry. We should aspire to have competitive rivalries.

I've just skimmed on their board. I didn't realize that was not the case... Good - i'm glad i'm wrong

The App helmet image they chose with the white block-A predates their football program.

The funny thing about this shirt is, I believe they used helmets with old logos for both teams. I am pretty sure their new logo on the helmet does not have "49ers" in it and just a larger swinging pick ax.

Well UNCC actually does have a Black Out. The ODU game the week after us is indeed a Black Out. Then they have a Pink Out on 27 Oct, for breast cancer awareness I assume.

But no green out that I noticed on their schedule. Kinda sad they don't do something around a school color.

This is UNCC's super bowl.

They boys need to play hard nosed football so we don't wind up being their "all time" upset. This one more than any other on our schedule if a loss would ruin an entire season.

I realize we're supposed to be making fun of UNCC but is anyone else really feeling the name "Battle of the Beards"?
