The stadium should be named Jerry Moore Stadium. Kidd Brewer was only a Mountaineer coach for 4 years, if my memory serves me correctly... I don't see why after such a short tenure the stadium would be named after him regardless of his short term success. Jerry Moore contributed much more to Mountaineer football than Kidd Brewer...

Besides the wins, the Brewer family gave some money, I do believe, to change the name from Conrad to Kidd Brewer

I'm OK with this. But he needs to be honored in some significant way. Its almost a disgrace it hasn't happened already

I hate to say this....but significant athletic buildings/facilities present donor naming opportunities...If we had more money than the Lord I'd be okay with putting Jerry's name on one.....but not if it takes away a potential $10mm gift.

Western did this to honor their legendary coach Bob Waters. I can see us doing something like this or perhaps, "The Jerry Moore Coaches Suite" or the "Jerry Moore Locker Room". Or change Stadium Drive to "Jerry Moore Way".

I agree we need to do SOMETHING to honor this good man.

How about a bronze statue next to the Rock?

I like the street idea as well as the statue. Unfortunately we need to keep naming rights open for donors willing to write a check.

I lean toward Moore Field at Kidd Brewer Stadium. There's a growing trend of "so and so" field at "such and such" stadium.

Just FYI for everyone. The field is already named. Wendell H "Dell" Murphy Jr. Field...for those that don't know.

Good luck putting that on a street sign. Jerry Moore Dr would be fine.

Does Boone control the name to Stadium Drive? I assume so as it runs through not only through campus but residential areas as well That may not be a decision for the AD, at least not directly.

I imagine it would have to be a meeting of the minds.

We should change the name of the University to Moore University and our mascot be the Jerry's.

If Satt stays around 10 more years this could be an interesting discussion.

I feel bad for the Jerry haters.

I like the idea of a statue outside of the stadium, and something on the inside in kind of a ring of honor type way. Aside from coach, I've always thought we needed to do a better job of recognizing Mountaineer greats in that type of way. I'd like to see what we have upgraded.
