Am I crazy for asking this or are we REALLY potentially loaded at this position?
Meadors
Lewis
Letman
Jones
Watkins
Adams
Absher
Virgil
Evans
Hennigan
Not too shabby

To date, Meadors is the only own that has shown much consistency. Now is the time for 3-4 of the others to step up, the talent is there I believe.

"Potentially" would be the operative word there.

If healthy I predict Virgil to be an impact player. Both he and Meadors can really stretch the field and he is a big WR that can really fly. I just hope this group improves in actually catching the ball. The Toledo game last year there were multiple drops that just can't happen if this team is going to reach its potential. They will have a big test against a really good defense in week 1.

Hope to see much improvement over last year, will probably need it with a slight dip in the 1-2 punch in the backfield.

That list looks good on paper, but I need to see them step up in the game. Run good routes, block down field, and catch the ball. It doesn't really seem to much to ask of that group but so far very few have consistently done all 3 of those things. Hoping this is a breakout year for our wideouts and that allows TL to have a big senior year. If we can stretch the field on a consistent basis, it really opens up our running lanes and makes our offense very effective. Honestly, this position concerns me the most.

Read that we are looking at Devin Pappenheim at tight end. According to the roster he is 6'6" and about 262. That is a doggone big TE.

Just listened to Satt doing a quick radio spot where he was asked about in-state recruiting:
"We stole one in Thomas Hennigan."
Said he'll help us this year.

I wouldn't mind seeing backup qb bombing to new receivers.

Hennigan will catch the ball and run good routes. Perfect slot guy for our system.

Agree he'll do well, but at 6'2", 210, I'd think he's an outside receiver.

Our receivers were terrible last year. There's speed there, but Meadors is the only one who has shown good hands and he is a senior. I honestly bet we dropped at least 8 passes against Toledo

I'm looking forward to seeing Darrynton Evans in the mix more as a slot receiver this season.
